Nice Views of Pacific Ocean, Mauna Kea or just relax with this amazing property in the sunny beach area of Hilo. Peaceful Hawaiian hideaway with plenty of room, ocean views, and privacy! Hilo Ali'i Makai can be summarized as a destination of serenity near many of the Big Islands favorite sights to see! Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls, Onomea Gardens. Arrive to find a traditional island styled home with private estate villa with all the comforts you need . Walk inside and you will find comfortable professionally decorated living quarters that encourage you to kick off your shoes, relax, and feel right at home! A large kitchen with vaulted ceiling’s, bar seating and eat-in dinning is great for families . Off of the kitchen you will find a welcoming outdoor dinning area which can accommodate everyone! There is something very special about enjoying a nice evening meal here after a day of family adventure! Wide open star lit skies, gentle Tradewinds, and the total absence from any negative noise pollution are all qualities that come from being on such a great location on a cud de sac street next to the beach, add to the quaint feeling this home provides! We find they can bring great joy to little ones and adults alike! A tranquil spot for you next Hawaiian vacation.! Vaulted ceilings upstairs add to the spacious feel. The master suite features a high-end king bed and sliding doors leading to a rap around lani side to view the ocean, big lanai off the back to enjoy the morning coffee viewing the pool and garden. This master also features an on-suite double sink spa bath tub with a double walk in shower and high quality finishes. The second bedroom features a comfortable queen bed and windows facing the lani. The third bedroom has a comfortable twin bed with sliding door leading to the lanai! A second bathroom is positioned by these bedrooms. The fourth room has a king size bed with a amazing walk in shower with several water jets shower. This is a open room we have privacy screen, please see pictures. A washer and Dryer is available, with A/C in some of the rooms. We provide crisp clean linens, towels, shampoo, soaps, hangers, hairdryer, and pride ourselves on making sure you have the amenities you would expect to make sure you have a great stay! We are not resortish people and this was a great alternative. everything we needed was in walking distance or short drive. Nights were peaceful and we enjoyed the privacy of the pool and hot tub. The odd plane flying over when the winds were rarely in that direction was actually quite a site rather than annoyance. Jomo looked after a couple of requests immediately. Great, clean house with 4 bathrooms, great kitchen. Large tables inside and out for a crew. But the property is dated. I acknowledge that upkeep near Hawaii shoreline is a challenge. The pool interior is ready for redo...but kids will not care and easy to monitor from comfortable locations. The pool water was clean since it recycles every day. This is a large, roomy house for group, but HOT bedrooms on main floor, since AC is not centrally located. The dryer vents into the laundry/twin bedroom, making it a sauna. House is in a wonderful location to drive to many rocky swim areas with many small fish and several sea turtles in January. Most have showers/foot washers. The road toward Hilo turns into a crazy busy highway, if trying to bike into downtown Hilo. Location was good for driving to groceries, sites and the Farmers Market.The neighborhood was quiet with a few cars parking for Chock's beach. It was a loud military flight path for a few nights.Well stocked house cook wear, dishes, good appliances. lots of towels. Grill worked well. ##### Ginny I. Lots of beds, bathrooms, sofas, table and chairs, and pool/hot tub. Air conditioners upstairs kept upstairs nice and cool. Owner was very responsive to any questions. Private beach at end of cul de sac was great for snorkeling and sunsets. Only thing I would suggest is to put an A/C unit in one of the bedrooms by the pool; this would also help cool the kitchen area which stays very warm. ##### John S. This house was a quirky place with a mix of luxury and quaintness. The pool was a bit disappointing, as it needed cleaning, but the beach was not far away. Once you found the right light switches, everything worked as it should. AC was good in most of the house except the kitchen and adjacent bedrooms. It never really cools down in there.
