Designer details abound in this charming Mirror Lake cottage, walking distance to Main Street. Professionally designed and decorated gorgeous mountain home with luxury touches.

Dogwood Cottage is the perfect balance of serenity and proximity to town. Enjoy shopping and world class dining just minutes away or simply relax on the covered porches with a book and glass of wine. The well-appointed kitchen and gas grill provide an excellent combination for a night of entertaining family and friends. Take delight in a beautiful sunrise over Satulah Mountain from the front porch or unwind after a full day of activities on the private, covered back porch with wood burning stack stone fireplace and 60" flat screen TV.
Dogwood Cottage boasts one level living with step less back entry, two master suites, each with ensuite bathrooms and luxurious bedding. The kitchen is fully stocked and features quartz counter tops with custom cabinetry, opening to the beautiful living room with gas stone fireplace, 55" TV and lovely dining table seating 4-6. Dogwood Cottage will entice you with its elegant interiors and peaceful outdoor living spaces.

You will find yourself surrounded by the picturesque mountain views, roaring waterfalls, rivers, streams, bountiful vegetation and ample hiking trails throughout the Nantahala National Forest. People flock here to enjoy the great outdoors, hospitality, culture, live music, theater, shopping, fine dining, festivals and the captivating charm of Highlands.

Wonderful stay at Dogwood Cottage

This property is a lovely place to stay. It is decorated so pretty and is super clean and well stocked.... the porches are the best to have your morning cup of coffee or your early evening glass of wine listening to the birds sing!Very relaxing and peaceful!

Cozy, comfortable home

The hosts made the process so seamless and even accomodated and early xheck in request last minute. The home looks even better than shown in the pictures. It was so cozy, beautifully decorated and the indoor fireplace was our favorite. The short drive to town made the trip even better! We will definitely be coming back again, they literally thought of everything!

We’ve stayed at a lot of rentals in Highlands and this one is in the top 3. Everything we needed for our family and it has a perfect set up for our dogs. We will definitely be back. I hate it we had to leave early.

Perfect little getaway

We loved Dogwood Cottage and cannot wait to go back! Of all the rentals we've had in and around Highlands, this one was our favorite! It was perfect for four people and had plenty of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy.

Absolutely perfect!!

The cabin was a perfect spot for many hikes around Highlands and Cashiers. It was beautifully decorated, incredibly clean and perfectly appointed. They thought of everything and welcomed our little frenchie! We will definitely be back. I can’t recommend this cabin enough, it’s perfect!

Great Cabin!

Our stay at this cabin was very comfortable, we loved the location near town and it was decorated very cute. It took a few times figuring out the entry pad, but after that it was fine. We were able to check in early which worked out well for our schedule. Would highly recommend this cabin!

Cozy Cottage

What a lovely cottage! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is decorated beautifully and reflects the vibe of Highlands. Chris and Joy really thought of everything when furnishing and stocking this fabulous home. Our visit was a rainy one so we stayed in relaxed and read in front of a warm fire. Delightful! Beautiful mountain home

We were visiting from NC and Tennessee with BFFS +40 years of friendship. We dined in wonderful restaurants, hiked, watched lots of men’s NCAA basketball , and cooked in the well appointed kitchen. We especially enjoyed to outdoor fireplace with TV.

Wonderful cabin, great location

This property is amazing! It's so cozy and VERY clean, beautifully decorated and you can tell so much time is placed into all of the details to assure a comfortable stay. The location is great - just a short drive to town where we enjoyed browsing the shops. We also enjoyed hiking and ziplining nearby. My husband enjoyed the outdoor space where he enjoyed relaxing watching sports on the outdoor tv by a fire. We will definitely be back to visit again!

Quaint Cottage

We loved everything about your cottage. It was aesthetically designed & decorated beautifully. Very clean and comfortable. You put a lot of thought into making your guest feel welcome and it shows! We truly felt at home and that’s unusual in the rental business. Highly recommend Dogwood Cottage. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
