Very happy

Really comfortable room and lovely staff at front desk. Breakfast the next day was amazing, only issue was the aircon in the room left the room to be rather hot. Overall would highly recommend for Hertford.

I liked the lication and the room beubv clean anx providing tea and coffee. I didn't like that it is not easy to park and that the restaurant was too noisy and that the check out is at 11.00 (too early) and breakfast finishes at 10.00 (too early)

Just too noise

Just way too noisy. The bar turned into a makeshift nightclub until beyond 2:00 am Everything else was just fine. But being able to sleep is quite high up my priorities

The internet was on and off most of the time that on, as well as the Hot water. The room was vert hot and not air conditioning in the room. There was not a sheet between the comforter and the guest body, so that meant that it was no washed or change everyday. All the guest used the same comforter.... However, the room was clean and the personnel excellent.

Very comfortable room, very well serviced daily. Food was excellent with friendly restaurant staff. The only bad point was that they have a late- night license on Saturday, the noise from which made it impossible to sleep before 2am.

Noisy with hard beds and no double glazing.

Looked good on website. Superior double room overlooked Karaoke berr garden. When the music stopped around 11pm the low pitched noise from what i suspect is the brewery next door was overwhelming. Finally at nearly midnight i chaged rooms to a quieter one, but this still backed onto the noisy machinery, so hardly slept a wink all night especially as the mattresses were very hard and the windows in both room were wooden sash windows and not even double glazed.

Other than a good location in Herftord, there was nothing positive about staying at this hotel. What they failed to notify us of: 1) no parking at hotel and not even free or discounted parking at the NCP parking 10 mins walk from the hotel, 2) lifts were out of action the entire time we were there and we arrived from overseas with two very heavy suitcases we had to drag up stairs and not even offered with any help, 3) no wifi all weekend which staff not to care about when we asked, 4) our room was right above the bar/club which shut at 2 am and a further hour of people spilling out to the street under our single glazed window - not much sleep was had! We might have forgiven these issues if the staff were friendly and helpful, however they were borderline rude and certainly not helpful. If it was half the price again, would have persevered. Poor poor poor

Nice stay

We stayed for our anniversary as we had our reception there 3 years ago. Before we booked no one mentioned they were going through a refurbishment it was a working progress. The room we had, considering we told them it was a special occasion, was basic and worn but nice and clean. It is a lovely hotel so I’m hoping the refurbishment will help and maybe that they could think about the little touches.

No hot water upon check in in the entire hotel. On speaking to the receptionist she said the water should come back on soon and they were having boiler issues. It wasn’t working after I came back from a meal with friends, so I had to wait until the morning to shower and finally there was hot water. The room itself (#206) was fairly disappointing: wallpaper was stuck back on the walls with sellotape and I nearly fell off the toilet as the seat was loose, plus no phone to speak to reception... Upon check-out I wasn’t asked how my room was otherwise I would have mentioned it to the daytime receptionist. No continuity of service being passed over from night and day staff.

Pleasant stay in Hertford or 50th reunion

Hotel ok but was on the first floor so very noisy as I top of bar. Nice staff and clean room. Would recommend at a cheaper price (for my room at least as was not expecting that much noise) and breakfast should be included which was nice.

Hotel was in decent condition. Location great...if your after a party. Here on a 1 night business trip but the noise and smoke smell from the rabble outside was really off putting. Lady on front desk rather abrupt and not very welcoming
