So we chose to do a staycation Thanksgiving. We were able to bring our dog and hunt some areas within short driving distance a couple of mornings. This allowed for him to burn off energy and then we could spend our evenings either cooking at the condo or eating fine dining within walking distance at the nearby restaurants. The VRBO indicates “entire house”, yet when we check in we find out there is a long term tenant living above. Basically this is a downstairs apartment. The dryer, located behind a locked door in the living room was running when we arrived. Then we see that there is another person living in the upstairs. You could hear the walking and things rattling overhead. When there was a lot of water flushed, maybe a toilet flush, it sounded like a rush of water in the living room ceiling. Unfortunately, there were a few drawbacks. We could hear nearly everything from the upstairs unit, including the tenant and their dog, which disrupted the quiet. The tenant wasn’t noisy, but we could hear the dog playing, the water running, and every footstep.Additionally, communication with the host could have been better. We had to reach out twice to get basic check-in information that should’ve been provided automatically. Not something we wanted to stress about as we were trying to wrap things up and head out on vacation. The host has great reviews, so I assume this was just a fluke. ##### holly g. We were a little surprised that it’s the downstairs of a home, and somebody lives upstairs. But we barely heard the upstairs person, and the downstairs has much more natural light than a traditional basement. It was very clean, had a fairly well stocked kitchen, and had really comfortable beds. Communication with the property manager was spotless. And the house is located maybe 500 yards from amazing trail systems in the south hills. Would definitely recommend this home to others. ##### Teri M. Home was clean and cozy and stocked with all of the essentials + more. Location perfect for access to downtown/hiking trails. Only took a star off because it wasn’t clear in the listing that there was an upstairs renter… Not a huge deal but we are light sleepers and were woken up a few times when someone walked around above us. Only other issue was the bed was SUPER loud when one of us rolled over so we kept waking each other up. Maybe not an issue for most people…. As I said, we are light sleepers so just something to note if you are too. Otherwise we would definitely stay here again!!! ##### Cassi L.
