The kids fished and played in the river while we relaxed on the swing. The location was great. Just far enough from town tom miss the crowds but close enough to walk and enjoy the shops. The house was pretty awesome. Only complaints were the floors were somewhat dirty, kitchen pans were worn out, cobwebs on the upstairs left bed frame, and a lot of the surfaces on the walls were really dusty. But it’s a cabin, and it was a great property and stay. We did have some bears join us for our campfire which was startling. But that’s part of it. You can enjoy the sights and sounds of the river (and the people floating by) from the comfort of the deck. If you want to fish however, you will need to access the river from the other side, but it’s a less than 5 minute walk. I would recommend the pictures of the kitchen on the listing be updated—it looks like some improvements have been made since the listing was originally published. The appliances have been updated and new countertops installed. It was different enough that we weren’t quite sure if we had the right house when we first got inside. All in all we had a great visit.
