This listing is for the UPPER SUITE, which has its own private entrance — there are no shared indoor spaces. Please note there are stairs from the driveway leading to the entrance, and the property is not handicap accessible. ☆☆ GREAT ROOM ☆☆ Without hesitation we can tell you our cabin is stunningly beautiful with outstanding décor and conceptual design throughout. The great room is wide open and gorgeous with beautiful wood craftsmanship and décor along with gleaming hardwood floors with custom design work. The ceilings are vaulted with sky lights giving it a bigger feel than the actual size. It is true Bavarian style ski chalet from the outside and an extraordinary updated cabin filled with charm and character on the inside. You can hear and see the river from our property. The expansive downtown views are excellent year round, but when the leaves drop the elevated views of downtown Helen below our property are amazing. The great room also includes a large HDTV with streaming services and board games and books for those rainy days. ☆☆ BEDROOMS + BATHROOMS ☆☆ The property has a king bed with lovely wooden post bed frame designed with your comfort in mind. Additionally, the bedroom contains a large dresser and mirror and a large wardrobe with room for unpacking and also enclosing a large HDTV with streaming services. The unit is also equipped with a queen size blow up mattress with pump for additional guests. Note if you are a very light sleeper you may wish to bring ear plugs as you can hear some hustle and bustle from town on the weekends at certain times of the year. We provide a sound machine for some white noise as well. ☆☆ KITCHEN & DINING ☆☆ This unit has a full kitchen and dining area that offers plenty of room for a family dinner that is open to the great room and is outfitted with all the cookware, dishes, utensils, dishwasher pods and appliances you will need to cook delicious meals. The dining table can seat up to four people. ☆☆ OUTDOOR SPACE ☆☆ While there are plenty of outdoor activities nearby, this suite also offers breathtaking views of downtown Helen from its large front balcony as well as a private retreat on the spacious deck near the front entry where you can relax and unwind after a day of adventures. We stayed during a very busy time for Helen and not having to drive was amazing. The bar/restaurant next door got pretty loud but we are music people so we sat outside and enjoyed the music. It’s also convenient that the kids could go to that restaurant the food there was good and the most reasonable priced. Don’t buy a souvenir beer cup to refill… just look above the microwave lol. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the air mattress for the kids was also surprisingly comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. ##### Holly M. The new owners are super nice and were truly invested in us enjoying our stay. Due to rapid fluctuations in the weather before and during our stay, we had an issue with needing to clean up dead bees upon arrival, but we were more sad about the bees than we were upset about the sweep up. The owners are making upgrades to the amenities, so this wonderful property will only get better and better. The upstairs portion is spacious and comfortable. The stairs were a challenge, but we felt invigorated by it. The views were awesome! Proximity to downtown couldn't be better. We were not bothered by the noises from down the hill, which were really only noticeable when we were on the deck. We would stay here again! ##### Sherry L. For at least Friday and Saturday nights you do need some white noise as the music plays loudly until 1:00am from the tavern below. We understood that being within walking distance of everything could mean some road noise or music. ##### Tim S. There was a lot of dust and a mold smell. There were also several bee carcasses. The wood walls and ceilings were beautiful and the furniture looked expensive and lovely. ##### Jennifer L.
