What We Love A relaxing and spectacular stay awaits at this secluded home nestled in a quiet area close to Lake Seneca access. Boatowners will love the fact that water access in Watkins Glen is only a short drive away, with ramps for smaller boats available even closer at Smith Memorial Park (two and a half miles). Numerous nearby trails offer fun options on dry land while the plentiful breweries and wineries make perfect pit stops on the way back. This rustic charmer welcomes you with a gorgeous wooden interior and open floor plan. Prepare culinary masterpieces in the well-appointed kitchen, complete with all the essentials. Make sure to take advantage of the gas grill and surprise everyone with delicious grilled treats. When mealtime is over, gather in the inviting living area and stream fun shows and movies on the smart TV, or hang out around the firepit while roasting s'mores. The screened porch offers a great spot to unwind as well. When it's time to hit the hay, head upstairs to the lofted sleeping area. Additional perks include board games. Property has shared firepits. While the location was nice, unfortunately we found the accommodations a bit disappointing. There were quite a few ants in the house. We noticed several ant traps that were not doing the job. We would have understood seeing a couple given the summertime amd location, but there were a lot. While the description of the property states this sleeps up to 4, the two bed options were very uncomfortable. The Queen bed in the loft was not a mattress. It was more like a flat beanbag bed. We knew the area in the loft was small but did not expect the mattress to be like this. My husband and I used the daybed downstairs. The mattresses on the daybed and pull-out were hard to sleep on as they were too soft and could feel the springs. Usually a daybed allows for the pull-out to pop-up to make a full bed, We were unable to do this so one of us slept on the bed and the other on the pull out below close to the floor. We also were not expecting the strong odor of sulfer in the water. That might be something you want to inform of in the description so people can plan to bring their own water upon arrival. ##### Sarah P. I called Vacasa the next morning and they told me they would send the info off to the local staff and I told the corporate office to let them know I am ok with them coming in to spray that day. I never heard from the local office and that night the ants were even worse. We had them in the downstairs bed and bed up in the loft. I checked out the next morning and continued many conversations with the Vacasa corporate office to refund my money and after 10 days and many phone calls I got a whopping $58\. My suggestion is that anyone that rents this place should make sure that the ant problem is cleared up. I was upset because with the ant traps already there they knew they had a problem but chose to still rented it out. Unfortunately, since the management company is not in town solving problems is much more difficult. ##### Kay P. We came for a girls getaway and the location was perfect. It was close to wineries, breweries, and watkins glen. As others have stated, the loft was very small, but we made it work. I would suggest if you have back problems, to sleep on the bed on the lower level. This was more comfortable.
