A little over an hour to Hayward, less than 1/2 hour to Phillips with numerous lakes and 16 miles to Connors lake. Just a few minutes to the Flambeau forest which is open to public hunting. Less than a 10 minute ride to Flambeau Forest State trail. Access to UTV/ATV and snowmobile trails via legal roads from the home (no need to trailer). Large deck with patio furniture, gas grill and fire pit. Numerous bars/restaurants within a short distance away. We very much enjoyed our stay and were surprised by all the personal touches that the owners had in place to make it feel like your home away from home. We had so many wildlife visitors it truly gave the up-north out in nature vibe we love! From the deer to the hummingbirds and turkeys, we wanted to either be sitting out on the deck or watching out the window the entire time. The kids (ages 13 to 18) were happy with the sleeping arrangements and we were happy to have a bathroom for ourselves! The kitchen was well stocked and even included some necessities! We are so happy with our stay and will definitely be back! There are even extra bedrooms in the basement making the sleeping even more versatile! Richard was very easy to communicate with and attentive! Don't be surprised by the gravel road, that's the right way. If you need a dark room to sleep, one of the smaller rooms is best. The master has a nice skylight that brightens the room in the morning. Check in and out was easy. Communication was prompt. We got to watch hummingbirds, deer, blue jay, red squirrel, and chipmunks. The house is cozy and has a well equipped kitchen and nice TV.
