"Lilia was super helpful when I need to find a place to buy some traditional woman's blouses and was able to advise me on whether the prices were appropriate. She made sure I had a lovely dinner in consideration of my recent tummy upsets. The Garden was really cute and beautiful. I loved this place and wish I could have stayed longer!"

"1st front desk reception was trying to check me in so fast that she was trying to charge me twice for my stay. Place is lively enough for solo travelers to meet new people. Bed was comfortable. Went downstairs for a phone call and the common area and kitchen had so many roches roaches. I almost canceled right then but was only staying for 1 more night. "

Every corner tells a story, and every detail feels thoughtfully preserved and lovingly presented. The museum exhibits are fascinating and diverse, blending colonial art, archaeological treasures, and contemporary pieces in a way that feels natural and inspiring. I loved how the ruins themselves are part of the display — it makes the history feel alive rather than distant. The gardens are breathtaking, perfect for slowing down, reflecting, and simply soaking in the atmosphere. It’s one of those rare places where you don’t feel rushed; instead, you’re invited to wander and truly connect. What made my visit especially memorable was the sense of calm and wonder I felt throughout the entire experience. Casa Santo Domingo manages to be grand yet intimate, educational yet deeply emotional. I left feeling inspired, grateful, and completely in love with Guatemala’s rich cultural heritage. This is a must-visit in Antigua — a place I would happily return to again and again. "
