"A few miles out of the hustle and bustle of town, with easy access to it all-The beachfront at this place was incredible!Coconut palms provide a little shade, and the dock/pier are out of a postcard! Our unit was modestly sized(perfect for a couple) with great amenities, a well outfitted kitchen, and a comfortable bed. The whole facility was clean and inviting. A great pool, good landscaping, toys like fishing poles and snorkels- and the best part was the snorkeling right off the beach here!...

"Ray Caye Island Resort was a little slice of heaven for us! My husband and I went for our 30th anniversary and stayed in the honeymoon suite l, which I would highly recommend for its privacy and amazing view. We had our own private splash pool, and we were steps away from reclining by the ocean. The staff went above and beyond to take care of us during our stay. The drinks and food were delish! The excursions were awesome! The best snorkeling I have ever experienced, and the fishing was so fun, including catching a record size barracuda! We could socialize as much as we wanted but also have alone time. This was definitely a five-star experience and worth every penny! Next time we're bringing friends and family!"

"The best of both worlds! This property is stunning, and it really offered the best of both worlds. We were able to experience resort-style amenities and service, while enjoying the space of an AirBnB. Our suite was huge and gave us ample room to enjoy ourselves. It was nice to be able to cook some meals in the suite, although they could definitely stand to upgrade their kitchenware. The pool is huge, and we really enjoyed the swim-up bar. The restaurant sits right on the water, and we were really impressed with the food there. The service is top-notch from the bar to the housekeeping staff. \*A note about the location: Placencia is a lot bigger than I realized. This property is in an area that is mostly just resorts and a handful of restaurants. A little further South is Maya Beach, which is quite nice. If you want to actually visit Placencia Village, it's a good 20-30 minute drive. So this is the perfect location for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. But if you want to be in the heart of Placencia, go further South. "

"We loved our stay in the Turtle room! We had a last minute change in our itinerary and needed a place for only one night... But we wished we had more time at this spot! The owners are very kind and responsive. The room was very comfy and cozy. I appreciated all the shelving in the rooms and bathroom. AC worked great. And the screened in porch was really wonderful to hang out on. It's also in a great location for wandering around the village. "
