The highway was right outside our doorway for easy access to where we wanted to go but the atmosphere was quiet and gave you the feeling you were out in the woods. Located a stone's throw from the gates of Banff National Park, this is a nice, rustic-feeling but perfectly comfortable unit with lots of character about a five minute drive from Canmore or 15 minutes from the town of Banff. Great mountain view from the balcony of the main bedroom, but otherwise you'll need a car to properly enjoy the area (luckily, the lodge pretty much has its own highway on-ramp). Online check-in was easy as could be, and Jason was communicative, friendly, and helpful.
