Very recommendable hotel
Great, small and cosy hotel with lot of charm. A bar/restaurant at the ground floor with jazz band playing in the night. Got a great room with lot of space and very clean. Personnel very nice and helpful.

The Inn is an extremely inviting place. The bar and restaurant area are really good. Food is exceptional we stayed on b&b basis and the breakfast is one of the best I've had. Room was large with a great bathroom. We managed to get parked at the hotel but there are limited spaces available. Great location for getting about in Harrogate with everything in a short walking distance. We would definitely stay again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room wasn’t very clean thick layer of dust on shelf next to bed and bathroom wasn’t clean. On second day bed had been made and tea/coffee replaced but bins weren’t emptied and bathroom sink not cleaned. Location was great town centre only a couple of minutes walk away. Breakfast was free and food was delicious although service was slow.

Great stay where treated like one of the family. Amazing choice of breakfast including full english, pancakes and rolls all prepared fresh. Already booked for next year as really good location for the convention centre and railway station.

Comfy stay
Nice place very near shops restaraunts , freindly staff very helpful. Stayed in room 10 very large room, comfy bed everything you could need the only fault we could pick was toilet not very private as just frosted glass doors gaps under and above. Free parking on site around the back, breakfast was lovely :)

The rooms are clean but beed an upgrade, other than that i had a great stay, staff are superb, food was tasty and i libed the area.

Stayed one night, have to say it was one of the best places we've ever stayed for price, location, quality, value for money. Easy access for the town, shopping nightlife etc. Room was masive, cozy , clean , with a big separate bathroom. We ate in the pub/ bar restaurant in the evening it was beautiful and plentiful. Full range of real ales too. All staff are friendly and very attentive. Excellent breakfast from full English to continental. Free parking too. We will be back in the summer.

Great getaway!
Lovely accommodation, well located to restaurants, bars & shops, and Harrogate Baths which we visited. We had the ‘penthouse’ which was on the top floor with a rolltop bath in the room and a balcony - gorgeous! We had bad weather (it was December) so didn’t use the balcony but everything was clean, comfortable and upto expectations. The included breakfast was ordered off a menu rather than buffet, much preferred, and was varied with great portions. There were a LOT of stairs to our room, not an issue for us but anyone with mobility issues/ small children etc would struggle. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Great mini break inna lovey hotel.
We had a lovely stay. Hotel was lovely and staff really friendly and do a fantastic job. Breakfast was beautiful and hearty. We stayed in a room which was at the back of hotel over the road. Wouldn't of chose this room but it was ok. Would of much preferred to have a room in the actual hotel. If we stay again i would request we want a room in the hotel. Room was adequate though with a lovely bathroom and all the amenities we needed. Tea and coffee and biscuits were provided. Would definitely stay here again as it was central to everything.

Traffic Noise Spoilt our stay.
Fine room though it was adjacent to the main road which was very noisy until midnight and then from 4am. We struggled to get any decent sleep and spoilt both our days out in Harrogate and York. Sunday night - we ate in the restaurant with a very limited menu. The burger was cold, the roast dinner was only just ok. We enjoyed a local restaurant on the Monday instead of dining in the hotel.

Family trip to York Xmas Markets.
Everyone at the Cheltenham Inn were so welcoming from the moment we checked in to the moment we left. I travelled with my partner and 9 year old daughter. Everyone made an effort to interact with her which she enjoyed. We checked in late (8.45pm). We were all really hungry after a 3hr drive. Food was about to close but we were provided a lovely table and provided great service. The food was delicious. Another nice touch was a loyalty scheme you can sign up for. Upload £5 and you are given £10. We spent £50 on food and drink which then gave us an extra £4 reward which went towards a delicious cocktail off the menu. Really happy with the room as well. Spacious, character and comfortable beds. We had a double and a single. Only negative was that the hotel is in the centre of the city. The hotel has a very small car park to the rear but was full when we got there. We paid to park on the main street (Free overnight and about £5 for 3 hrs from 8am). We then moved the car round to the free car park once other guests checked out while we spent a few hours out and about. Great location, 7 minute walk to the train station.

Overall, pretty good
Enjoyed our two night stay in very convenient location. Had large room at front of building so was a bit noisy with traffic from about 6.30 am. Comfy bed. Radiator in bathroom didn’t seem to heat up properly and there was nowhere to hang your bath towel after use. Lovely evening meal served by friendly staff. Service at breakfast was slow but good choice of menu. Coffee on first morning was miserably weak, though improved on second day. Overall, pretty good!

The staff were friendly and the food was good. The room needed a refresh as doors on bathroom cabinet needed replacing. Some of the milk capsules for tea in the room were out of date. Overall a great location for Harrogate and train station.

3 (2) night stay
Very rustic Inn, in need of a good wipe down everywhere, steam clean at least or a total refurbishment ('spray' on the headboard, spillages & dirt on the bathroom door) and sitting on the toilet was a balancing act with a very wobbly seat that needs repair or replacing, new carpets and a lick of paint on the stairwells needed (particularly up to the public toilets on the 1st floor). The bed in room 8 was so uncomfortable that we checked out of the hotel a day early. My wife's breakfast order (full breakfast came instead of Veggy) on day 2 was incorrect so we ended up eating seperately. The saving grace was that the staff were great.

Nice place but a shame about our room
Room was rather spartan, comfy armchairs and a nice rug would have helped and also a splash of colour in a drab room in need of redecoration. Staff were very pleasant and god breakfast.

A friendly hotel with comfortable rooms although a little dated. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were of good quality.. great shower and we had a large plug-in fan. The room came complete with iron, ironing board, bottled water, cookies, shower gel and shampoo. The staff were all very friendly. The bar area was pleasant, clean and had a nice feel to it. We had breakfast a ‘full Yorkshire’ and the food was definitely of a high standard. Other meals in the menu all looked tempting. The car park is right across the road at £14 for a 24 hour stay. The car park is locked at night but there is an office with a warden. The hotel is quite central therefore a short walk to the centre for shopping and other bars. Lots of restaurants close to the hotel. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
