There was moisture on the closed window especially when it rained. Of course, the window curtain was damp and had mold. The room was cold and very humid. There was no temperature regulation, no vent to rid the humidity in either the bathroom or room. The bathroom also had mold. When I first checked into the room, the floor was obviously moist. Two days later, the floor was still moist until house keeping dried it. The bed sheet/blanket/pillows all felt damp. The piece of silk cloth with the hotel name was the only dry one, so I slept on it. I had a chance to see a couple rooms one floor down on 3rd floor, they were equally terrible. The only good were wifi, friendly guys at reception, and minutes of walk to beautiful lake Hoan Kiem. I told a receptionist about the moisture and mold problems. He replied, "it's the season." I didn't bother to ask for a room change because I likely will get an equally terrible room and maybe with bad wifi. The walls along the stairs up into my room all felt damp. The room didn't even have a small closet. ZERO star for the room and the building. ##### Bryan Séjour de 3 nuits en février 2020 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Voyageur vérifié 29 janv. 2020 Points forts : Service et personnel Points faibles : Propreté, état et installations de l’hébergement Hotel is located centrally in tourist area and the breakfast isn’t bad, but the room I was given Initially was disgusting (it even had open cans in the fridge)!!! So I asked to change the room So they gave me another room which did not even have a fridge and it was right on top of there kitchen and they constantly had super loud music and room was disgusting and extremely small, I guess they were punishing me, when I saw a decent room right next door and I did ask they told me it’s not for me it’s for 2 guests??? On the time of booking price was exactly the same for one person or two person so obviously they were just being super unfair. Make sure to get back to hotel early since one evening around 10pm they already had outside door locked and it was raining, I was knocking the door for 20 minutes and nobody was even there to open the lock! This price is satisfactory very much with breakfast‼︎ They cooks a fried egg and the sausage when I sit down in my table and can eat hot and delicious‼︎ Bread with can use oven‼︎ Ａnd have vegetables, fruit coffee, tea... I think that it is just right space to get communication with other visitors in the breakfast‼︎ Room is no problem in the water pressure and the temperature control of the shower, too‼︎ Ａncl cleaning of the room is done every day, and a towel or the sheet are clean, too‼︎ Ａll staff was very kind with very very friendly! As I had best point... The Cozy House is an exceptional place to stay. Centrally located, very clean, and comes with a free breakfast consisting of eggs, bread, coffee, and fruit. My partner and I originally only booked one night here — but we loved it so much that we extended to four nights. The staff is very personable and kind with great suggestions on local places to eat. The front desk is also able to help book tours and buses to different areas of Vietnam. Not to mention there is laundry on-site.
