The room did not live up to the pictures or the title of the hotel. Bed was so hard it was extremely difficult to get any rest and the bed base was broken and made a terrible groaning sound every time we moved. We had a top story room and we could hear animals (?) running around on the ceiling at night and in the early morning making it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was very ordinary and if you were not down by 8.00am there was little in the way of western food except eggs and bread which was only suitable for toasting. We asked for more bacon but were told they had no-one to cook because staff were on holiday for the Chinese New Year. There was no laundry service available for the same reason and then on the last morning there was not even butter for the bread. When we asked we were again told there was no butter because of the holidays and when my husband insisted they reluctantly brought out a teaspoon of butter on a plate. Most of the staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful when they could, but were limited in what they could offer. The location was pretty good though and most of the old quarter highlights were within walking distance. De kleine beestjes/miertjes liepen over het bad en de wc heen. De vlekken zaten nog in de lakens op het bed..
