From the moment we walked in, we knew it was going to accommodate my family perfectly on our week long vacation! We have stayed in this exact area of Ha’ena quite a few times within the past 2 years but never at this particular home! I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again in the future! The huge lanai was the most popular spot for us all to embrace the breathtaking views of the ocean, sunrises and mountains! It’s heaven on earth!! The beach is steps away and is a perfect spot for snorkeling! I’ve been lucky enough to swim with turtles every time I’ve been out and it’s been life changing to experience! Kauai is our home away from home and we can’t wait to book this same home when we visit next year! We appreciated how spotless it was upon arrival! It did get extremely warm in the home with some of the fans not in working condition. However, we knew when booking that this home didn’t have A/C which wasn’t a big deal to us. It may be an issue for others who don’t realize just how hot it can get during the day and night. This particular home wasn’t as equipped with items needed to prepare meals as other homes we’ve stayed at in this area. The stove wasn’t in the best condition and made it difficult to prepare the meals we had planned for the week. So we did have to make other arrangements but again, it wouldn’t prevent us from booking this home again. About a block to the beach on a charming dirt road. We loved walking/running to Tunnels Beach in the mornings, walking to coffee at Colony Resort, Bbqing and playing cards on the deck and watching the sunsets at the point. Quick drive to Hanalei. The house itself is beautiful and comfortable. Has a pretty view of the ocean from the deck and you can hear the ocean waves crashing at night. A few things you need to plan on in this area due to the road closures and Covid. The restaurants have very strange hours so make your reservations very early. They open the roads in the evening and people flood in and there aren’t many walk ups available. Postcards is the best we ate at!! Plan you grocery store shopping because you have to drive to Hanalei if you need anything. Also plan your gas. We came with half a tank and then realized driving back-and-forth we were quickly going to run out so we had to quickly drive through the convoy to Princeville and back. A little nerve-racking thinking we might not make it back and be shut out for hours. We loved living the simple and so life for a week. Feeling refreshed going back to school and work and can’t wait to return someday. ##### Diane S.
