Hammerbrook hat viele schöne Ecken zu bieten. Der Sonninkanal, Mittelkanal, Südkanal, Hochwasserbassin und Bille bringen viel Wasser in den Stadtteil. Entlang der Kanäle sind alte Fabriken und Lagerhäuser zu finden, deren Backsteinfassaden im Kontrast zu den modernen Bürokomplexen stehen. Die Wasserwege bieten immer wieder schöne Möglichkeiten zum Spazierengehen, wie zum Beispiel der Elberadweg, der von der Deichtorpromenade über die angrenzende Hochwasserschutzanlage Großmarkt am Wasser entlang nach Rothenburgsort führt.

#### Gewerbegebiet, gut angebunden

Die Lage war nicht sehr schön, auf dem Hinterhof eines Gewerbegrundstücks, dafür aber sehr sicher mit großen Toren die über Nacht geschlossen wurden (es gab natürlich einen Schlüssel dafür). Die Wohnung an sich war aber total in Ordnung. Mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Eine Gardienenstange war kaputt und auf einem der Sofas war ein unansehnlicher Fleck, die Spülmaschine war sehr mitgenommen und die Fußbodenheizung war viel zu heiß und lies sich in der kurzen Zeit nicht runterregeln. Es gab viel Platz und genug Geschirr, Töpfe und Co. alles in allem dem Preis angemessen.
