Its nice to walk around the area. The man running the hotel spoke english pretty well, my non japanese speaking friend had no issues at all. Either have to take a taxi, train or bus to go around from here. The customer service was not very welcoming or friendly. Also the room was not clean at all. The sink in the room had so many stains and spots on it, plus the sleeping mats provided in the room had many stains on them and they were not cleaned. For a japanese ryokan during covid time where people are taking very high measures this is absolutely unacceptable. We only stayed for a night and was not happy.
