It was amazing. The quality of the service was great in every area that comes to mind. Both dining and breakfast buffet were incredibly good. Lots of options for every taste. Not too difficult or expensive to access via a bus from the Odawara shinkansen station. The rooms are huge, there are a million places to sit and relax, the hot tubs are amazing and fill pretty quickly, the public bath is spectacularly peaceful and gorgeous and is also pretty big. I recommend that the facility is shut down pending major renovation. The staff were kind and treated me well, I think that it is a management level issue. The carpet in my entrance was soaking wet at all times and both bathrooms in my room smelled heavily of mold. I gave it a chance, but after sleeping I went down to breakfast and realized how severe my mold allergic reaction symptoms were so I went back to my room where I found that the clothes I had left outside of my suitcase overnight had gotten wet from just being in the room and upon entering the room my allergies increased so I packed and left. After getting fresh air my symptoms improved rapidly which underlines that the problem was at the hotel. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the private hot spring in our room. This place is far from town and is surrounded by trees so don't expect any stores. It's a really good place to unwind and relax.
