The check in staff was phenomenal. The only incident was in the morning when a gentleman by the name of Felipe approached us to talk to us about the club. We’ve been in many resorts and are not interested in this at this time. Have had very bad experiences with this timeshare/club sessions. The gentleman became very defensive when my husband said he was not interest. He got a bit rude and said he was only doing his job and was helping us with restaurant reservations. After the very uncomfortable situation, we and to the lobby only to find that we already had reservations made. So found out he was lying. We came here to relax and unwind from all the stress and did not appreciate the abrupt approach. Another gentlemen started talking to us about all his family issues and that his child was in the hospital and his parents had just been killed. As sad as his story was, we were looking for a relaxing place. Food was great but it was always the same every day. I had called room service 5 minutes after 11pm to order a cheeseburger that I had waited to order all day and the person very rudely said they could not make it. The room, staff and amenities were excellent!!

Our family had an amazing stay at Bahia Principe El Portillo, and I want to highlight the people who truly made our vacation special. Kids Entertainment: My daughter Victoria absolutely loved the activities! A huge thank you to Luisairis, Beba, and Dominga — they are incredibly warm, energetic, and creative. Every day Victoria ran to them with a smile, and we always felt she was safe, engaged, and genuinely happy. For my son Daniel, the entertainment team was fantastic as well. Special thanks to Victor Calois and Barron for their positive energy, fun games, and personal attention. They created a great atmosphere for older kids and made Daniel feel included and confident. Spa Experience: We also visited the spa, and it was wonderful. Esther and Gricel provided excellent service — very professional, gentle, and attentive. After the treatment we felt relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend! Overall, the hotel has a great family-friendly vibe, clean territory, beautiful beach, and an amazing team that really cares about guests. We are grateful for all the moments they helped create for our children. Would love to return again!
