"The hotel needs major updating! The room was clean but had a musty, damp smell. We were on the first floor where the windows opened onto the walkway.There are no screens,which is okay but not on the first floor! The window lock was broken on one of the windows so we asked to have it fixed. The hotel staff looked at us quizically and said don't worry we don't have mosquitoes here. They did repair the window lock right away. We would close the window when we left and the hotel staff would open it...

"I really enjoyed spending time at this hotel. The staff are very welcoming and wonderful people to be around. The staff made sure that I had a shuttle to go around town and a safe way to get there, had a secure place to store the remaining luggage, and they made delicious food for breakfast and at the restaurant. I would highly recommend to stay at the Stella Maris Lodge."
