The outdoor space is great too...we enjoyed most meals on the deck then moved to the fire pit for s'mores and down to the brook to cool off. Mark was great with communication, the check in process was seamless and easy. We had an issue that was no fault of theirs and it was resolved very quickly. Not much is open that time of year - fortunately, we caught a special opening at Fort Ticonderoga on Sunday. However, the house was great - we completed their 1000 piece puzzle and played some of their games. We made dinner and breakfast and the kitchen was well equipped. Mark and Dylan, our hosts, did an excellent job of maintaining the entire house, from the kitchen to the bedrooms. They were always quick to respond to any concerns or issues we had. The location is ideal for a sense of safety, peace, and harmony. The entire house has been beautifully remodeled. Additionally, we enjoyed cozy evenings by the fire and were captivated by the breathtaking Brook stream flowing in the backyard. This was our annual trip with our bff (best friend family), and the house on Graphite Mtn was perfect! It had plenty of room for all 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids), so we were able to spread out and relax. Great Escape was a fun day trip for part of our group, and we all enjoyed Fort Ticonderoga. The beach down the road was easy to access, clean, and had restrooms. The only drawback we considered was that the house is very close to a busy road. Mark and Dylan have also paid homage to the historical significance of the Graphite Mines in Hague,which played a key role in the area's economic well-being.Dylan and Mark have just recently added an outside fire pit, which is a great place to gather after a day of activity.We highly recommend this property.
