Very lovely, well-maintained and comfortable accommodation close to the cablecar station that takes you up the mountain. Has a nice restaurant and hiking equipment facilities on the ground floor.

This hostel is very clean and the staff are friendly. There are equipment rentals and a cafe available! If I were to visit Takao san I would stay again!

Great location for Mt. Takao

Great location if you want to get an early start on Mt. Takao. Beds were much harder than expected but we only stayed one night and were tired after a long trip so it didn't impact us too much. Surprised by how large the room was (rented the family room/unit). If you don't bring towels you can rent a face towel, largest available, for a shower but really the face towel size was fine, not a big deal.

This accommodation does not provide towels. They sell face towels for ¥330 at the counter but they are hopeless for showering. The cafe/bar was closed on Friday night (private hire in the day but didn’t open in the evening). There is plenty of mentions online that the cafe opens for breakfast at 7 AM. I discovered on Saturday morning that they don’t do any food until 11 AM. Takaosanguchi is hopeless for food, especially after 5 PM and before 10 AM, so you will have to rely on convenience stores. It is very difficult to get a proper meal in Takaosanguchi at any time.

昨夜はお世話になりました。と言っても到着が20時少し前だったのでスタッフさんと接したのは、宿帳記載の時だけでしたが、フリースペースで食事中に同じトレラン出られる方とお話しできてトレラン初エントリーの私としては大会情報が聞けて良かったです。

部屋でウッとなり、むせ返りました。

カフェは夜８時までの営業で、７時半前に着いたのですが、もう閉店、と言われました。ドリンクのみの希望でしたが。ラストオーダーの時間を書いて欲しいですね。意気消沈し、近くのコンビニに行きました。がっかりした気持ちで部屋に入りましたが、同部屋の外国人の方の体臭が強烈で、非常に不愉快な滞在となってしまいました。交流は大事ですが、部屋は分けてもらえると嬉しかったです。

チェックインが最終時間より20分ほど遅れてしまったのですが、スタッフさんが待っていてくださり、親切に対応していただけました。設備も清潔で快適でした。寝具は簡素でしたが（敷布団は厚さ10センチほどのマットレスのみ、掛け布団は合成繊維の毛布2枚、シーツはマットレス側のみで掛け布団に対してはなし）、私は気になりませんでした
