Great for all water sports. Relax by your smokeless campfire and picnic table with a fresh caught fish on your charcoal grill. Snowmobile right off our property (or on the lake) right onto state trails, also used for bicycles, dirt bikes and 4x4s. This is a favorite area for hunters, perfect for family gatherings and romantic getaways. We are pet friendly with a pet fee of $20 pet pet/ per stay. Luxury beds wait for you at the end of a long day of adventure. We do have TV and WiFi. Linens provided. Pots and pans, silverware and dishware also provided. We enjoyed the hottub and the lake. Having little john boats were great to go out in. Hosts are a bit hard to contact. Asked for towels as they were provided,as a family of four we had one and was informed the next day they should be getting some that afternoon and would be getting some. We did not and bought some. Asked about TP and did not get a response and also bought some. Didnt bother asking for trash bags. The hot tub was nice after an evening of fishing. My husband caught 7 fish and I caught my first fish! The shower was a little tricky at first but once you figure it out it makes sense. The sink water pressure wasn’t that great but we didn’t have much use for it since we didn’t have much dishes nor needed it to cook with. If so, you just have to be patient . The beds are super comfy and overall cabin 5 was just perfect for the two of us plus our pup. Honestly cabin 5 is the best! We had a view of the lake from inside the cabin and the backyard area has a fence for privacy. We had reached out to ask if we could check in early due to us arriving to Gwinn sooner than expected and the hosts were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early. We had so much fun and we hope to come back, maybe with some friends this time. Just know we would be booking cabin 5 before they do, LOL! ##### Keri D. The privacy fence is a gift, and the back/hot tub view is picturesque. The AC was helpful on the sticky, hot, and humid days and even when it rained. Some of the amenities weren't as described. The lake is not a great kid swimming lake. It was hard to get to the water, and the dock didn't have a ladder, but my kids figured it out and swam like fish. They also caught fish. All of the boaters were very respectful and they enjoyed a go on the paddle boats. Ultimately, we needed to leave early and communicated through the app we wanted to check out. We could have used instructions on what was expected of us. We were ghosted. So we cleaned, swept, removed the trash, and stripped the beds. Hopefully, we don't get a bad review as clients. After check out they are trying to charge me for the window. If you are going to stay here I highly recommend pictures or video of the entire place. Would definitely stay there again . ##### Donald ### 4/10 – Médiocre #### Leary Voyage en famille, Voyage avec des animaux de compagnie 21 août 2023 Points faibles : État et installations de l’hébergement Before we even left our home, I texted the owner and asked about bringing an electric motor and battery as the post on Expedia said these items would be furnished. The owner said we probably should bring a battery, which we did. However, we found on arrival that for the five cabins, there was only one non-leaking boat we could take out on the lake and the owner didn't have a working electric motor. (I noticed later in the week the info about specific items, such as motor and enough boats for each cabin, was missing from the Expedia/VRBO websites' postings.) It took several days and multiple texts to the owner before he brought us a working motor. Our reservation was for cabin 5, but we were placed in cabin 3 as there were issues with 5's pipes. This meant that we did not have two queen beds as promised; we had one queen in a bedroom and twin beds in the other. In the cabin itself, electric receptacles weren't screwed in properly and, as a result, would come out when things were unplugged. In one bedroom, a lamp's switch didn't work and only turned on or off when plugged in or out. There weren't enough towels for four people, so we had to text him about that. The refrigerator took over 24 hours to begin chilling items in it. The furnace didn't work until we texted him about the pilot light. Very pieceful and has a beautiful view of Big Shag Lake from cottage 5\. Was the most private of the cottages. Having row boats and a paddle boat to use was great!! The furnace was rattling loudly and was duck taped to keep it together. It was only in the 50’s in the room during a snowstorm. The drawers in the kitchen were all broke and hard to open. The air conditioner was still in the window. We called and emailed the owner about our concerns and he didn’t contact us for 2 hours stranded in a snowstorm, 8 hours from home. After 2 days of emails he only gave us back $260 out of the $600 we paid. This place was not safe to stay at. It was the worst experience of our lives. The property setting was nice by the lake. The cabins could have been spread out a little bit more for more privacy. We did not use the hot tub because it was located next to the owners house. I was thinking that we had our own hot tub for the cabin that we rented. Overall the property was nice and this day was fine. I would give it an overall 4 rating. ##### Debra C.
