Sea Urchins, North Unit 1300 West Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, AL 36542 Everyone loves the new Sea Urchins! :-) Snowbird/long term rental pricing available. 5BR 5BA. Gulf view. Private pool (per side). Across W Beach from the beach. Nice place...for less! Accommodates 21, 36 with both sides! This listing is for ONE side of this 2x5 bedroom duplex. Sea Urchins has a sweet private pool for each side, and the gulf is directly across the road. There's nothing standing between you and the water except West Beach Blvd, and then you come back home for your own private dip in the pool! AND, you get to the beach, crossing the road, at a CROSSWALK right at the corner of our property. Easy... Sea Urchins is across from the 12th street public beach access so there is no home across from our house and no need to wander through private property to reach a beach access point! It's just about perfect for folks who want to save a bit but be just about "right on the beach"! Each side of the duplex is a 5 bedroom and 5 bath unit. All homes start on the "2nd" or main floor, as every home in the beach area is "on stilts" by code, so living space starts on the second level. 2nd Floor, BR 1: King + Twin Bunk, en suite bathroom (note, this bedroom's bath also serves as a common bath for the living room, through a separate entrance) 3rd Floor, South BR 2: King, en suite bathroom 3rd Floor, Middle BR 3: Queen + Twin Bunk, bath directly across hall 3rd Floor, Middle BR 4: Bunk Room, sleeping up to 7! Twin over Full Bunk (1+2) + Full over Full Bunk (2+2), second bath directly across hall 3rd Floor, North BR 5: King, en suite bath There is also a 2nd Floor Living Room QSS in case you need extra space. Please note that although the 3rd floor middle bedrooms do not have en suite baths, they CAN be completely treated as private to the bedrooms across from them. That is, eac h bedroom can have its own "private" bath since its a one to one, bedroom to bath mix! 3500 square feet of living space, is professionally decorated, makes extensive use of tile and crown molding, and includes granite kitchen countertops and much more. Electronics abound in these homes: excellent mesh wifi internet, smart TVs populate these stylish, yet comfortable, units. EACH unit has TWO refrigerators. If you haven't stayed in a vacation home with these extras, you'll find out what you've been missing and never want to stay somewhere without them! From kid's drinks to adult beverages to lots of leftover shrimp, having the extra space is a must for the well-seasoned travelers. Because of high demand during the summer season, the units are available for full week stays only: in the end, though, don't you really deserve a whole week of rest, relaxation, and fun! POOL? You be! Private PER side Yes, each side of Sea Urchins has its own pool! 27x12x3-5' Rectangle. Big! In the sun! Lots of room to lounge. BEACH ACCESS? Like being beach front, but not paying for beachfront! The public beach is right across the street from Sea Urchins AND there is a pedestrian crosswalk, with signage and light, right off the corner of our place! Easy beach access... without paying beachfront prices! WIFI/INTERNET YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 250Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction! SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well. No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time! We had 8 adults and 5 kids with plenty of room including 4 vehicles. Going to the beach was easy as the house is literally right by the cross walk to the beach access. With little ones that was important. The owners provided timely communication preparing us for our trip. Gulf Shores was not on our radar as our plans changed due to unexpected construction on the home we were initially renting at cape San blas Florida. We will definitely come back again. ##### kim N. We stayed for a week at sea urchins and had the best trip ever! The location was PERFECT. Lots of parking, which was great for our multiple cars, seating around the pool, and the porches were an amazing place to sit and hangout. Management was great to work with. The only downside to the house was no grill. Other than that we all had a wonderful time and we loved sitting on the deck watching the ocean and feeling the breeze. The kitchen was well stocked as well. We rent a beach house every year and we would DEFINITELY rent this one again. ##### KIM M. We had 8 adults and 10 kids and we had plenty of space. The walk to the beach was so easy and made the trip that much better. Sea Urchin North was perfect for our family. The proximity to the beach (without the cost) and the private pool was much enjoyed. We appreciated the open living area so everyone could spend time together. The beds were comfortable and kitchen nicely furnished. Having a shaded place to park our cars was a plus. Would stay here again and again! Place is much bigger than photos show. There are 5 bedrooms, all have access to a porch! 2 king rooms with attached bathrooms, 1 king room with single bunk bed, 1 queen room with single bunk bed, bunk room with 2 bunk beds. Well kept!
