Lighthouse 916 is a one-bedroom, two-bath condo with Gulf-front views from the 9th floor.

• Access to the balcony is from the living room and primary bedroom

• Tile flooring is throughout the unit

• The kitchen is fully equipped kitchen with everything that you need in your home away from home with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The breakfast bar has seating for four.

• Full-size washer and dryer are inside the unit

• Living area has a sofa sleeper and a large wall-mounted flat-screen TV

• The primary bedroom has a king-size bed with a ceiling fan and a TV

• The bonus room features twin bunks with a TV. *Children six years or younger should not be permitted on the top bunk.

• Wireless internet access is provided

$400 FREE Activities Daily-Guests will receive one complimentary admission to our select activities per day. You can go to every one of these activities every day, and one person will be free per day. Additional guests will pay full price. Admissions are non-cumulative and non-transferable. Unused admissions expire daily.

So yes, you may choose to go fishing in the morning (one person is free), then golf at lunch (one person is free), and then go to the zoo that afternoon (one person is free). Or you may choose to go to the zoo in the morning with the kids (one person is free), and your husband can play golf (one person is free) and then meet that afternoon to go on the dolphin cruise (one person is free.) You may do some or all of these select activities every day, and one of your parties is free every day.

These activities are yours to use if you choose to do so at no additional cost or obligation.

Fees ridiculous for time spent
The room was fine. The elevator was out on our end of the building the entire time. The fees and taxes more than doubled the room rate. This has gotten out of hand. VBRO used to be the first place I would look but I will rethink my next visit.

Great location
This is a great location! It was perfect for our little family. All the pools were perfect! This room has fabulous views. Check in was great! No issues. The place needs a good deep clean, like the fans wiped down and some other things but I am a clean freak anyways. Other than small little things like the dryer is super loud and can not be ran while you are inside. The sounds is awful. But it did what I needed too! We will definitely be back. We had a great spring break!

Beautiful condo. Check in & out was super easy, Great location in Gulf Shores. Perfect for 2 adults! Would definitely stay here again! The 9th floor was great! Loved watching the dolphins every day! Great restaurants nearby! Beautiful beach & property. Parking deck was nice & pretty easy.

Great unit!
We love staying at The Lighthouse. We have been coming to Lighthouse for the last few years but the unit we normally rent wasn’t available. This was our first time staying in #916. According to the previous reviews the sleeper sofa bed wasn’t operational so I reached out to the property management co prior to our arrival and they had it replaced before we arrived. We didn’t have any issues during our stay. The mgmt co even called us on day 2 to make sure everything was going good and to make sure we were happy with everything & to make sure we had their 24/7 office phone #, which was very courteous. I did inform them that the Keurig wasn’t working but they already had a 2nd keurig in the unit beforehand. I also informed them that there were no pillows for the pull out couch but it was fine because we brought our own anyway. The unit was very nice & clean. The only complaint I had was the bed pillows definitely need to be replaced. They were all extremely flat but we brought our own pillows from home so that wasn’t an issue for us. We would definitely stay here again. Be aware there is no early check-in which was a bummer, but we went & ate lunch and took the boys to the arcade to kill time.

Second bedroom is tiny
Our stay was good overall. The second bedroom is not an actual bedroom. It is more like a closet with bunk beds. There is no closet or dresser or any place to keep clothes in this room. There is barely enough room to get to the beds. Also, the pull out couch is broken and very uncomfortable. When you pull it out it just falls down so I would say this condo comfortably sleeps 2, not 6 like advertised. I suppose if you are using the bunks for really small children and need no place to put clothes, it may work for you. There is a full size washer and dryer but the dryer squeaks so loud the entire time it is running that you can only run it when you aren’t in the room. We booked this room thinking we were getting an actual 2 bedroom so we were disappointed to find we paid extra for this two bedroom and we couldn’t really even use the second room.

I really liked the location of Lighthouse 916. The balcony view was incredible. It was really nice to have a place to call home while we were in Gulf Shores. The bathrooms and beds were very clean. The extra dish towels and things were set up very cute. We used the fridge to store food all week, freezer to make ice cubes, the washer and dryer and everything worked properly. Some of the utensils and dishes in the cupboards were dirty when we got there But we threw them in the dishwasher. There was a kind of musty/fishy odor in the entryway right when we walked. It did air out and get better as the week went on. Main bath was missing a drain plug but maintenance replaced it within hours of me asking. Master bed was very comfortable. The couch was older and peeling and we could not get the pullout to open. We gave up since it was just for my daughter to sleep on and she could sleep on the folded couch. She said it was comfy. But that would have been disappointing if we needed that bed pulled out. We didn’t end up needing to use the bunk bed room but it was set up very well for kids to use. It was kind of noisy from the street on that side of the condo tho. All in all this was a nice condo. Giving 4 stars because none of these issues ruined our trip. I think it’s a work in progress and I could tell that the condo owners love it and are working on making it an excellent place. We really enjoyed our time there despite any of these issues.
