We had hoped to pay extra to have the pool heated but were told that the heater was out of order. Loved having a bathroom in every bedroom and laundry on the same level as bedrooms was convenient. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of seating everywhere. If you plan to cook for a large group, bring your own large pans because there is only a small and medium pan to cook in. Very short walk to the beach. Kitchen is stocked with lots of dishes, coffee makers (pods and traditional), toaster, etc. Spacious parking in driveway. Kids found loads of pool and beach stuff to play with in the carport closet. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it could use some TLC but I know beach properties are tough in this area. Also because the price we paid was about the same for something we could have gotten right on the beach but there was a problem with the condo we originally booked. It requires 36 hours notice to heat the pool. We still had a great time regardless. There was plenty of toilet paper, but not sufficient paper towels or dishwasher pods for this large group. Also, the cookware is all very small; that makes it a little difficult when trying to feed 9 people at a time. The house was clean overall and furniture etc. is all in pretty good shape. The thermostat is controlled by remote. I think if they would ask the guest what temperature they want it set on and then have it set to our liking. It would’ve been much more comfortable, but they did address our needs quickly when brought to their attention. We are not a 70° indoor weather family, more like a 65° comfort zone. Got in Thursday evening and the house thermostat was set to heat at 73 and locked( it was around 60 degrees outside so I don’t know why the heat mode was on) I Messaged the property manager and they said they would contact the owner and have them switch it to cool. Woke up the next morning to 73 degrees still and all 9 of us were quite warm the entire night. Messaged again that morning and it was promptly taken care of. I’ve never stayed in a rental where the thermostat is locked and cannot be switched from heat / cool mode . Every 3-4 hours it reset to 73 degrees-Very annoying. The house overall was laid out nicely and plenty of room for everyone. I loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom plus a half bath downstairs. Kitchen was large, but unfortunately there was little to cook with. There was hardly any pots / pans, no storage containers, no spices 1 plastic spatula, 1 roll of paper towels and 1 spare garbage bag 1 hand towel. Mind you this house sleeps up to 18 people. The kitchen supplies needs to be addressed. If you are coming and are a cooking group you need to bring all your own supplies. The plugs in the master bath and 1 bathroom upstairs didn’t work.MB- no bath mat. Plenty of room in the house and the dining room table is nice and seats 10 people Living area was sufficient.
