When we pulled up the first thing that stood out was piles of scrap lumber leaned over the picnic table underneath the house, one was spray painted with orange paint. Just didn’t look inviting. The grill was knocked over and soffit was hanging from the eves. On entering the house, first impression was good, but noticed the couch and chairs were stained pretty badly. Just could use a little freshening up! The location was wonderful. We went to the beach, shopped, and ate out in several places. Overall, we had a great time. The house itself was not a real positive. There was a large gap under the door that could let in lots of undesirables. There were mouse droppings in the cabinets and bugs in the kitchen. The toaster was rusty, and we didn't feel safe using it. Needless to say, we bought plastic and paper or ate our meals out. The oven, stove, fridge, and plumbing all worked well. The washer, dryer, bbq pit, oak trees, and shaded area under the house were all bonuses. Plenty off street parking and we weren’t close to other houses, and we were a five minute walk from the beach. The downstairs outside shower was a huge convenience. It has a feeling of home. We appreciated the tips in what to take to make the stay an enjoyable one.
