Rosie's Retreat is one of our Poochella Villas vacation rentals that supports animal rescue, with 20% of the proceeds from this home donated to animal rescues around the country. Rosie's Retreat is a spacious 4 bed/3 bath pool home, with large dual suites, that can accommodate up to 10 guests. It has a very private, spacious full suite on one side of the house that has french doors to the Florida room. This suite has a king size bed, a futon bed, sitting area with bar sink and fridge, walk in closet, and an enormous bathroom with a walk in shower built for 2 with dual showerheads, and a double sink vanity. On the other side of the house is a second spacious suite, also with a king size bed, sitting area, large closet, and full bathroom with a walk in shower and double sink vanity. This side also has 2 additional bedrooms, both with queen size beds. They share a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo, and also a dual sink vanity. The back of the house has a spacious enclosed Florida room with a lounge area with patio furnature, and outdoor dining tables. Outside the Florida room is the pool to cool off during the warm sunny days! The garage has been converted to a game room with a full sized ping pong table, air hockey table, fooseball table, corn hole, and giant jenga. The home has a large driveway with plenty of room for a boat. The home has a well appointed kitchen, washer/dryer, 4 smart tvs, bbq grill, and wireless internet. Rosie's Retreat is located in Gulf Breeze, Florida, just 3.6 miles from Pensacola Beach, 5.8 miles from Pensacola Dog Beach, and just minutes from various Gulf Island National Seashore areas. It's also located less than 7 miles from downtown Pensacola, where you'll find unique restaurants, fine dining, museums, and more. Pensacola is the home of the Navy's Blue Angels, where you can often see them flying tight formations over the city and water from March-November. The home is located less than a mile from a public boat launch, and a half mile from a large park with a dog park, disc golf course, skate park, splash pad, playground and more. Up to 3 Dogs welcome with an additional fee of $150\. Dogs must be crated if left unattended. No smoking of any type allowed inside or in the Florida room. No events or parties are permitted. A maximum of 10 guests are allowed to stay in the home, and must be at least 25 years old to book. The pool is not fenced, and has a deep area so children need to be supervised at all times. There's a $40/day pool heat charge if you'd like the pool heated. This home is under a pest control by a professional company, but in Florida's climate, insects are around throughout the year so please don't leave any of the doors open to allow for unwanted entry. Refunds will not be given if a few insects are found in the home. This home features a Ring Doorbell device with an exterior security camera facing the front outdoor entry, and the camera does not look into any interior spaces. There is also a security camera facing the pool. Communication with the owner was always met with a prompt response. We didn't need all 4 beds, but if you did, you'd still have plenty of space to spread out. We had our pup with us, so having the fenced in yard was nice for her to roam while we enjoyed the pool. If I had to find a gripe it would be the grill. It was absolutely beautiful and the customer service was beyond impeccable. All of our questions were answered in a timely manner and the property manager Sara was able to correct any issues that we had, and was such a pleasure to work with. My grandmother really enjoyed celebrating her 85th birthday in this home and she said she felt so rested and relaxed from the pool, the comfort of the bed, and the different amenities. Very clean home, and just very nice overall. The pool was great for us! We paid extra for the heat for the pool, and used the pool all week. Very nicely located between Pensacola and Pensacola Beach. Lots of options closeby for restaurants, groceries, and entertainment. Only negative we found was that the living room furniture was not very comfortable for as nice as the house was. The inside was nicely decorated, and the bathrooms have beautiful tile showers, with the best water pressure. Very convenient to the Beach and Festival Grounds at Pensacola Maritime Park. If you are not a dog person, this is not the place for you. Dog hair all over, even after I called and they re-cleaned. Dog hair in the towels and on all of the bedding. The 2 en-suite rooms are large with tables in both sides of the bed and large, updated bathrooms. The other 2 rooms are nice size with big closets for storage. The living room is large and there is plenty of seating in the kitchen. If you plan to cook, this property lacks space for food storage and the kitchen is modestly stocked with pans. Although we didn’t use it, the pool is a great feature with plenty of outside seating. The ping pong table is also a plus for families. My only complaints are the lack of seating in the living room for the number of bedrooms (assuming 2 people per room) and an awkward (but prettty) kitchen. It is conveniently located between Pensacola and the outer island. Getting to either is quite easy. Host was very responsive during our stay. ##### Sandy G. Jul 27, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Blue Angels Beach Vacation For our vacation, we wanted to plan it around the Blue Angels Air Show on the beach and this house did not disappoint. It is about a 10 minute drive to Pensacola which was convenient for the couple of times we went to the beach. The air show was awesome and something everyone should experience. Quick tip: get there early to get a parking space. The house itself was exactly as described. The owner, Sarah was very helpful and punctual in fixing an issue with the pool. As others mentioned, the pool area does need a little work, but it is still very nice. We used the gas grill a few times and had no issues. I will say, the kitchen utensil situation is disappointing. No large pots or cookie sheets. We ended up bringing a muffin pan assuming there would be none reading other reviews and we were correct. My advice, if you have some baking item you need, you should probably bring it. The ping pong table did not have any usable balls so we ended up buying a cheap pack at Walmart and left them there for the next guests. Overall, we would stay here again as it was a nice place and the location and neighborhood were quiet yet close to many stores and restaurants. ##### Eric R.
