A mixed bag

This was a mixed bag. The hostel/hotel is right on the town hall square, which is nice, and the price is very low. The bathroom and bed linen were good and clean, but the rest of the room as well as the whole building smelled kinda old and on the terrace visible from the window you could see the remains of several dead birds. I appreciate the attempt to reignite the old hotel, but it needs a little more care.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt. Das Personal insgesamt sehr nett und zuvorkommend und auch die Animationen sind ganz witzig. An der Sauberkeit kann noch gearbeitet werden

Would recommend -

Surprisingly pleasant stay. Nice clean and big room with a view to the church while still being very affordable. Nice little square with market during the day, just in front of the hotel. Parking was ok on the square but not suitable for longer stays. Would recommend

Sauber und zentral

Wir hatten die schlechtesten Bewertungen seit 2019 im Kopf… aber einfach nicht nachvollziehen können. Zentral, ruhig, sauber, kulant (beim Auschecken konnten wir unser Gepäck im Altstadthotel, das 3 Min. zu Fuss entfernt ist, noch stundenlang deponieren, gratis natürlich), praktisch und funktional eingerichtet - die schlechte Beurteilung früherer Jahre trifft einfach nicht mehr zu. Nur etwas ältliche Korridore, aber Zimmer tipptopp. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Gerne wieder einmal.

Für ein Hostel waren das Zimmer sehr gut, auch mit dem automatischen Einchecken hat es sehr gut geklappt.

Gutes Hostel mit Bad und Dusche im Zimmer, daher ist es auch gut für mehr als eine Nacht geeignet. Leider hat es keinen Aufzug.

Ok, alleen om te overnachten prima. Basis in de inrichting, maar alles is gedateerd. Parkeerplaats in de beurt, prima, maar niet duidelijk. Personeel is vriendelijk, WiFi was helaas niet.

Der Zugangsbereich zum Hostel ist leider sehr verkommen. Alte Turnschuhe, Zigarettenkippen, ein ekliger Aschenbecher vor der Eingangstür. Der Empfangsbereich, ein alter Thresen. Kein schöner Arbeitsplatz, für die Mitarbeiter.

Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ist top. Der Aufwand ist zwar minimalistisch, aber bei dem Preis ok. Die Zimmer sind sauber und in der Preisklasse gut eingerichtet.

This Is A Hostel For Short Stays

This is a hostel and not a hotel. It is only ideal for one night. They do not clean the room nor give you fresh sheets or towels during a longer stay. We stayed 6 nights and it's too long. If you want these services you have to pay for them. I understand not cleaning but you need towels during a long stay. Any room that faces the square will face 24 hour noise from Street cleaning at 6am, the setting up of market stalls at 6am three times a week, church bells all night and shouting and screaming during the very late night from drunks to young people who sit on the seats outside the church. The other issue is bird droppings, the window sills facing the square are full of it. It really was disgusting. We had to clean it, as our window sills were very bad. The reception is only staffed 6 days a week for limited hours and not on Sundays. We arrived on a Sunday so had to get the key from a box. WiFi was good and is in all the rooms. Shower pressure was good. Last problem, one day we had no central heating, it was broken and it was very cold. After that it only worked during the day. At night it would turn off. In deep winter this could be a big problem. We had the best room in the hostel a comfort room. It was spacious but as I have said, it's only good for short stays. We will be back in Gustrow and may stay at this central hostel again but for no more than two nights at a time and we will insist on a rear facing room.

Das einzige was störte war um 6 Uhr die Wegereinigung. Ansonsten sehr schönes Zweibettzimmer mit schönem Blick zur Kirche. Sehr nettes Personal.
