Dogs love it too. A tennis/basketball /pickleball courts, jungle-jim park and a miniature golf course with bike rental just down the street. 18 hole professional golf course a few miles away. The house is well-designed, with ample space for everyone to relax comfortably. The kitchen was a highlight: well-stocked, functional, and perfect for cooking and hanging out together.The location is excellent. It's just a short, scenic walk to downtown Guerneville and a great beach on the river. The home was welcoming and had everything needed for us. We were two families consisting of three kids ages 6-13, one grown up kid, and three adults and we were accommodated well. Where to start? Of course the Russian River area is a beautiful place from the vineyards, to the Redwoods, to the cool swimming and paddling waters, right down to the estuary at Jenner. And this home is set up beautifully for an extended family or cheerful group of friends. Easy to get in, EVERything stocked up well: kitchen stuff, bath stuff, and lots of beds. The deck extends right from the living and dining room and was great for hanging out and chatting. The hot tub/spa is maintained impeccably and we followed the protocols to keep it that way as we used the spa daily for a fun luxury. Clare was easy to touch base with for any questions we had and her vivacious personality permeates this relaxed, fun home through its decor and amenities. We stay here for a very popular event in August and it is a rare find in Guerneville; walking distance to town, rooms/beds for a larger group, and all the amenities you need for a great stay (grill, hot tub, w/d). We stayed upstairs with the young kids, older kids had their own room as did their parents. Good open plan. For the price point, it was a great site. While some things may be a bit dated, the oven comfortably cooked a 20lb turkey for us :) and the dining table sat everyone for meals. Oh, and my sister's dog had a great time, well sealed yard for her to get out. The house had plenty of space to gather as a group, but also have space to yourself for reading a book or napping. The kitchen was well setup for cooking a meal of any kind. The location is spot on. About a 5-10 minute walk to downtown Guerneville. The area is quiet, the house is large and open so everyone can gather together in the main room/kitchen. We were pleasantly suprised at the accomadations during our holiday get away and it was truly refreshing to find an offering where we could bring our 2 large dogs in such a nice home, lots of care and love has gone into maintaining this property. The location is great as its located on a quiet street yet its just a short walk to town where you can find some wonderful restaurants and shops. You are also just a short scenic drive to many wineries which we particularly loved. We would highly recomend this hos and home and will hopefully be planning trips in the future! ##### Mike S. This is the only VRBO we’ve been to multiple times - it was our third visit and we will be back. We keep coming back because we play games on that big table, make cookies for ice cream sandwiches in the wonderful kitchen, enjoy a leisurely morning on the couches with a peaceful treetop view and the dogs smile as they run in the yard. The location is perfect- we enjoy taking advantage of the yummy restaurants and fun put put golf. But the home and yard is why we keep coming back. So close to Town, just a short walk over the bridge. Peewee golf place wasn’t open nor did it look like it had been for years. Very run down. The redwood park was stunning and we enjoyed many walks there. Our walk through town was fun and although we were there during off season many merchants were open. Cons: Check in instructions and house rules documents were overwhelming & difficult to read—should be completely rewritten with attention to brevity, structure, syntax. So many warnings about dirtying the water of the hot tub that we decided to stay out entirely. Bed in small room off primary suite was so uncomfortable the friends sleeping there left after the first night. The location was perfect - easy walking distance from town, and close to the recommended start and end points for floating on the Russian River. The layout of the place was a little weird; we had a full house of 10 of us so we used the trundle beds and everything. Good for a group that knows each other well, but wouldn't be great for e.g. a group of couples. We hadn't realized also that it doesn't have air conditioning; we were there on a hot weekend so it got a bit stuffy. This is probably in the listing but we had missed it. It always gets chilly at night so it's not so bad if you have the windows open. Clare was very communicative and easy to work with, and the house was very clean.
