My first time in Guatemala, Marcos welcomed me in care and attention. My room was clean and comfortable for a hostel place. We immediately bonded and gave me good advice how to move around the city. I met a lot of local people through him, ate delicious burgers, went to a bar and had some of the best local coffee, El Injerto! I would note that it is a bit more low-key than some other hostels I have seen; I would recommend contacting them over WhatsApp if you have questions after you book since they took about a day to get back to me by email; however they are extremely responsive on WhatsApp. The owner, Marcos, is a great person and can provide great ideas of what to see in and around Guatemala City, along with Guatemala in general.
