"We had an exceptional stay at this accommodation. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and it was spotlessly clean. A special call out for the friendly cleaning lady who did a great job and left us plenty of water :-) Everything was very new. Location was perfect for our trip to be near the Expo Centre. There is a metro line just outside the hotel"

![About 1.5 hours west of Shanghai, Suzhou is known as the "Venice of China" with its canals and stone bridges.  Like in Venice, you can take a riverboat ride on the canals.  

Our boat was steered by an extremely strong little old man who serenaded us by singing Chinese opera.  

Built in 514 BC, Suzhou is an ancient city with a 2500 years' history. The unique characteristics of the past are still retained in present-day Suzhou. The double-chessboard layout of Suzhou, with 'the streets and rivers go side by side while the water and land routes run in parallel', are preserved basically intact. Strolling the streets, you can feel the unique lingering charm of this landscape left by its long history.

"It was such a wonderful surprise, the hotel is in the famous Suzhou traditional garden setting, right next to a park with an ancient tower and beautiful gardens. The rooms are luxuriously furnished with classic Chinese wooden decorations. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. rooms are very clean. The breakfast is outstanding I will go again anytime I go to the area, specially trying to reserve a room that faces the garden with impeccable views. Definitely the place to stay in the city"
