Although dated in decor the staff were friendly and professional. Affordable hotel and genuinely caring staff. It was older so don’t expect a fancy hotel but it was perfect for an overnight. Very spacious family room! Suited our needs fabulously. Be aware not a lot open for dinner if you arrive late! This is a beautiful art deco gem of a building. The proprietors are rightly proud of it. The welcome was friendly. The food was excellent. The restaurant was nice in spite of the lack of atmosphere- we were the only ones there! The room disappointed a little. It was small, and there was nowhere to put your bags except the floor or the bed. On the plus side, it was nicely done, and had a good coffee machine and quality biscuits. The biggest negative for me was the lack of a shelf in the bathroom- the only place for my toilet bag and makeup was the floor or the toilet seat!
