Pet friendly! Bathroom REMODEL and other UPGRADES have been completed (Summer 2023). Come check it out! Our quiet, rustic cabin (a.k.a. camp) offers small families and couples a cozy, home-away-from-home after a fun filled day of hiking, fishing, kayaking, or many of the other outdoor activities available around Moosehead Lake. Make wonderful memories with family and friends outside on the deck, inside by the wood stove, or relaxing by the fire pit. Two bedrooms accommodate four adults comfortably, and if needed, additional sleeping space is available with futons in the living room and private sunroom. (Reservations limited to maximum of 6 people.) A well-stocked kitchen provides all you need while away from home. Sit back in our Adirondack style chairs and enjoy your morning coffee on our quiet deck. Deer, chipmunks, and humming birds are regular visitors. A gas grill is also available for cooking up your own culinary specialties or comfort foods like burgers and dogs. The cabin's open lot provides a space to play and an inviting fire pit ready for Smores and sharing family stories. Wood for fire pit is provided. The open floor plan creates a comfortable atmosphere with a separate sunroom if you need a little extra space. The sunroom is perfect for settling down with your favorite book, your morning coffee, or an afternoon nap. It can also be used as an extra bedroom. On cool nights, the wood stove in the living room provides plenty of warmth and adds to the already cozy atmosphere. (Firewood provided in woodbox under window.) Electric heaters are also available. Our WIFI-free cabin is perfect for those who wish to 'unplug' while enjoying a relaxing vacation! (However, cell phone service at the cabin is reliable for most carriers.) Choose one of our family-friendly DVD's and enjoy a movie night on our flat screen TV. All you need to provide is the popcorn! Or spend an evening of laughter and family fun with the wide selection of board games and cards! Or settle down with a book from our collection or yours from home. HOWEVER, if you must tear yourself away from the peace and quiet of the cabin, the library in town offers daily use of their internet service. Our cabin is located on quiet Harford's Point with Moosehead Lake access only 100 yards away. The trailhead to the lake is immediately across the road from the cabin and an easy walk to a quiet dock. Another good place for your morning coffee or star gazing at night! Enjoy a day of swimming and relaxing at the grassy beach (our 2nd lake access ... perfect for younger children) and an evening of grilling and sitting by the fire. Trails suitable for beginners up to expert hikers are within a short drive. The roads on Harford's Point are also an excellent place to walk, jog, and ride bikes! There are two 9-hole golf courses, Mountain Village & Golf and Mount Kineo Golf Course, which are minutes away from the cabin. The town of Greenville is a short drive away and offers restaurants, museums, grocery stores, a library, and many gift and/or outdoor shops. Kayaks, canoes and bikes are available for rent in town. You can sign up for moose safari tours and scenic plane rides. The cabin was warm and inviting. It has everything you need and more. The kitchen has everything you could need …. appliances, glassware and utensils. The bed was very comfortable. The living area is stocked with board games, cards and a DVD player with a varied selection of movies. The shower door was a little tricky, but it came with instructions. I didn’t use the wood stove, the fire pit or the barbecue, but it was good to have the options. In short, the cabin is “fully loaded”. The location in amazing and I was lucky enough to see it at it’s autumn best. The lake is close by, accessible and beautiful. The view is also incredible at night, no light pollution to interfere with the night sky. The town and various other opportunities for fun are close by … a moose safari, boat rides, plane rides snd more. There is a lot to in any season in the area.I only had a few questions while I was there and the responses to my texts were quick.I hope to get back here again soon. ##### Michael C. We spent a lovely Saturday - Tuesday up in the area with our friends and this was truly such a gem of a spot. We had the full spectrum of weather, so we were able to take full advantage of both the woodstove (wood provided) on a chilly evening, and use the boat launch and beach access on the sunny days!The beds were incredibly comfy, and my partner-who usually has back issues when traveling- had no issues sleeping and had no pain (a win!)The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots/pans/Tupperware/utensils that we needed to cook, which was perfect since we ate most of our meals at the cabin. Pantry staples were not included (like oil & spices) but we brought our own just in case, so it worked out perfectly.We heard loons on the lake, saw and incredible display of stars at night, and overall had such a great time. Close to town and great hikes and golf. The only thing missing was a lake view from the cabin...but grateful that we had two ways to access the water. The camp was very cozy and very clean. Lots of sleeping room, kitchen fully equipped, all of the linens, bath towels etc were provided. We enjoyed the short walk to a dock or to the Grassy beach area to enjoy the Lake views. We absolutely loved the outdoor area both the covered the porch and we also loved being able to have a quiet evening by the fire. Close to Greenville and Lily Bay State Park. The entire trip was relaxing and fun. Even when locked ourselves out of the camp,🙄 the host was quick to come unlock the camp for us and was very understanding about it.
