The kitchen was well equipped and the scenery was beyond breathtaking. Unfortunately, the beds were also old and uncomfortable - bouncy box springs and saggy mattresses. However, it didn't matter because there was a seasonal bug infestation that took over the entire upstairs where the bedrooms were. We ended up sleeping on the couches downstairs and ultimately left a day early. I will say that the property management was very responsive to our issues. We could tell that they were genuinely concerned that our visit was less enjoyable than what we were expecting, and they tried their best to address our situation. But due to the unusually warm fall temperatures the bugs were much worse than usual, and many of the window screens were ripped and the screen doors ill-fitting, so there was no way to keep the bugs out. The house had been well cleaned but when there are flies buzzing all over it doesn't feel so clean. If the screens/screen doors were to be repaired to prevent this from happening this would be a delightful place to stay. Unfortunately, this was not our experience. ##### Talia S. Near the town, on the lake and near the mountains, it is easy to find something to do. The only downside is the stairs to the second floor are steep and narrow but it doesn't effect the value. Ee enjoyed swimming and fishing right off the dock. Fully equipped kitchen for our meals. Nice yard for the kids to play. It was really windy when we were there for the internet and TV went out but that didn't really effect us at all. Def. Black fly time so bring supplies to help battle them. We saw 3 moose and a fox. Everyone of us caught fish right even our 4 and 6 year old did. I cant say enough about how nice this cabin was we truly enjoyed ourselves . ##### Shamra E. The only drawback eas that tve shoreline was very rocky making it hard for my 3 year old and my mother to access well. Loved the views and the location just needed a screen porch or more fresh lake air access away from the mosquitos. Just a few small recommendations for future renters, the chairs on top deck are too short to enjoy the view and could be used on bottom deck as more seats. Kitchen supplies could be updated a bit lots of old useless stuff , just need a few simple common pots/pans, bigger coffee mugs and a few wineglasses. Large living area worked well for small family, just need to allow friendly dog😉 ##### Suzanne D. I stayed with my husband and son for a few days at this house, and upon arrival we were immediately swept by the incredible view. There are nearby houses, but the property is very private and you don't see or hear anyone else. The inside was perfectly suited for us. It's not modern, but exactly what we were looking for with it's rustic decor and it was VERY clean. It's about a 20 minute drive to town where there are a couple of restaurants and markets. House was in generally good condition. The house needs a bit of updating but is certainly comfortable. Ample linens were provided and the bathroom seemed recently redone...nicely. The lights in the kitchen seem to need checking as they wouldn’t always come on or come on in a timely way — old wiring or fixtures? Nonetheless, glad we went! ##### Allene K.
