Groups with children should be especially aware. \- The property is tiered and there are stairs from the parking spot to the home. \- There are no hand railings down the garden steps from the parking area to the front door. \- Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet. \- Whidbey Island is home to a naval air base. On a few weekdays each month (and occasionally in the evening), you may hear loud flight training. The Navy does not conduct training on weekends or holidays and typically publishes the schedule one week in advance. Parking Details \- The parking area has two parking spots per reservation. \- Large SUVs, trucks, and larger automobiles will not fit in the provided parking spot. \--- The room configuration is as follows: Primary Bedroom / King bed Bedroom 2 / Trundle bed This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation. Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees. There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions. This home is close enough to civilization but you will feel worlds away.The home was well stocked and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was no hand soap in the upstairs bathroom, the hide-a-bed sheets had a yellow stain, the pizza in the fridge had no expiration date and looked old, the chalkboard had a 'welcome' for a different couple and the overall smell of the house was quite stale/musty. Some of the issues are little and if one or two were present would not be a problem, but comparing the current state to the pictures we saw when purchased we do not feel like it was worth the price we paid. We made the most of our trip and found some nice places nearby to access the beach and eat, but it the state of the house was very unfortunate and is not what you expect when booking a vacation rental. Very disappointed in AvantStay overall and we will most likely be avoiding houses managed by you guys in the future. The lady that assisted was nice but overall didn't want to be dealing with these issues while we were staying at the house. ##### Alesha S. The only challenge faced was the trundle bed in guest room becoming a king bed. Unclear as to a successful set ip for that. We accommodated by simply using the twin mattress pull out on the floor.
