Our room (6486) was very small and had an odd smell. The mattress was not what would expect for $450 a night. Nonetheless, the location and ambience make this hotel iconic. If you plan a once in a lifetime trip to the Grand Canyon this is your place. Wish they would invest more in room quality. Nothing can beat this. The food was very good. Staff were friendly. On the downside, the rooms and bathrooms are AWFUL. Stained carpet, beat up furniture, curtains … from the 1920s?
