The house was clean and had everything we needed. While you CAN walk to the kicking horse lift, it’s easier to just drive to the base camp and start there. Being that this is a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom, there was plenty of room for us... and would be perfect for a family or a group of friends (or both!). The house was great and there were plenty of things to do to keep us busy and entertained. Base Camp at Granby Ranch is nice. We did the ski lift to the top of the mountain and hiked down. The west entrance to RMNP is less than an hour drive. We enjoyed exploring Granby, Winter Park, and Grand Lake which are all close to property. Best of all, we had great views from the property. (Four kids and friend) The summer stay was even better. So many things to do; hiking, biking, golf and music at the base. Granby even has a local rodeo five minutes away that we went to twice. Visiting Monarch Lake might have been the highlight. Weather was perfect for our stay. The house was super comfortable in the summer and the back deck was perfect to sit and enjoy the views. It felt like carefully cared for home. The host was very quick and helpful in responding to my questions. What really makes this place though is its location. It is a 5 minute walk to the kicking horse lift AND you get a clear unobstructed view of the mountains. I do not think there is a "Ski-in, Ski-out" property at Granby that offers both quick access to the slopes and an unobstructed view. I will take the short walk to the slopes in exchange for an amazing view any day. Hoping we can book this property again yet this year. ##### Andy J.
