Take your time and take in the world renowned views with a day stop in Canmore, Banff and Yoho National Parks. Horizon Hideaway is a day trip to any of the 5 national parks, (Jasper, Banff, Yoho, Glacier, and Kootenay) also, Mount Revelstoke Provincial park. If your a sledder this is the perfect place to stay for day tripping to Gorman, Holt, Kinbasket Lake area and only minutes from off loading at Hospital creek. We have plenty of parking for trailers and trucks. Guided rafting or snowmobiling trips are minutes away at Wet n' Wild/White n' Wild. After a great restful night each day in our perfect home at Hideaway, we had beautiful drives to Banff, Jasper, Kootnay, Glacier, Yoho, and Mount Revelstoke. It's outside of Golden, but an easy drive into town and up to the Kicking Horse Resort. Our interactions with owners Nicole and Justin were simply excellent. They were really friendly and helpful. From laundry machines, to brand new kitchen utensils, Plateware and pots and pans, you'll have all the comforts of home. Nicolle had a list of many of the restaurants in Golden and lots of information about the surrounding area. My husband, 1 year old son, and my parents stayed at this house during our vacation to visit Jasper and Banff National Parks. The house was beautiful and very clean. We BBQ'd on the open deck and the super comfy beds made it easy to just pass out at the end of a long day of hiking and exploring. We were reluctantly to leave and only wished we had spent a few more days there. If you're going to Jasper and Banff, I advise staying a week at least (we only stayed 3 nights).
