Bien mais manque de professionnalisme
Les chambres et les environs du Sunset Island Resort sont comme sur leurs photos,donc aucune mauvaise surprise ! Le personnel est agréable mais ils ne sont pas très professionnels ou peut être novices dans ce domaine je ne sais pas ... Nous sommes restés 11 jours et pas une seule fois, ils sont venus nous réapprovisionner en gel douche, shampooing, paic vaisselle ... etc, il fallait que la démarche vienne de nous alors que nous sommes les clients ou que nous achetions nos propres produits! Ensuite le wifi n'est pas gratuit et ils proposent de nous en vendre, d'accord mais il ne fonctionne pas très bien et le quota s'use beaucoup plus vite que prédit donc ça ne vaut pas le coup ! Le ménage n'est pas impéccable mais ça reste correct ! Dans l'ensemble nous sommes satisfaits, l'appart n'est qu'a 8 mins a pied de la Cavill Avenue et les environs sont calmes.

Dirty pool
The room was clean and OK. The location was good BUT as there was almost 40 degrees (celsius) and the pool was very dirty (we did not dear to use it) we have to go to the beach instead. Low rates from us becuase of the dirty pool combined with a very hight price (no one was interested in to clean the pool).

The property was aged but nice and clean. Disappointing no blankets on beds, only one pillow. Although we arrived when reception was open, it was not and once we finally got onto them they were very hard to understand. Also there was no lift and I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs I suffer with arthritis

Had to wait outside for a long time for someone to come and open reception although it was only 5.20 pm. Immediately asked to upgrade at extra cost. Told that Air-Conditioner was not working properly in the room. Stayed 4 days and no effort was made to fix the Air-Conditioner. Very disappointing.

Dear Sunset Island Resort management, Thankyou for providing me and my friends a place to stay over New Years Eve 2018, we are happy to report the room was nice and clean and within a great walking distance to the lovely Surfers Paradise. I would however have to report that the Fridge in our apartment was barely functional and we were unable to store our icecream to enjoy by the balcony to overlook the pool. This caused our fellow guests some stress. As a side note other guests looked at me weird when I was trying to take sunset photos. Would like to feel less self-conscious please!! Overall 9.5/10 would recommend

It was awesome we loved it the staff were very helpful and friendly the rooms were very nice the views were great it was only a 10 min walk to the esplanade and the hotel was situated in a quiet area so you were far enough away from the koas but close enough to walk to everything we will be definitely be staying here again thank you

You get what you pay for
Booked a 2 bedroom apartment for my family and I at the last minute at a discounted rate. We arrived just after 7pm and checked in. we drove down to the locked underground parking and found there were no lifts. This could be a problem if you had a lot of suitcases to lug up many flights of narrow staircases. We found the apartment to be clean but in much need of some new paint and a bit of TLC, bits of the ceiling was falling down from a leak and lots of scratch marks on the walls. There were no batteries in any of the TV remotes or the aircon remote and only a single sheet on the beds, when I went looking for more blankets for my 2 young boys there was only 1 to be found. It was already 12'C outside and was going to get even colder so 1 sheet was not adequate. We tried to call the reception but no one was there, we then tried to call the after hours number only to get voicemail and no one bothered to call us back. It was a very uncomfortable night. The next day we managed to find someone to bring us some batteries for the aircon and 2 more blankets. When they arrived at the room they were rather grumpy and very put out by our request. We did not feel comfortable in this hotel and will not stay here again.

Very close to all amenities and surfers Paradise, eating and public transport, a must book in place for any visitor to the Gold Coast, I will be booking in there next time I visit, you should to.

Well worth the money, but......
Fantastic location, we were on the third floor, no lift. The room was clean and adequate for our needs, but was not great. It was great value for money, and well worth the money we paid. I stayed with my daughter and with a one bedroom unit, I got to stay in a rollaway in the lounge room, it was a bit uncomfortable. Air conditioning was only in the lounge, so I froze and my daughter had the fan over the bed going full blast. You get what you pay for, and I think I would stay here again if it was just me, but if I was to bring my wife and younger son, I think I would need to pay more to upgrade a bit, at least to a place with a lift.

Good place near surface paradise
The hotel was nice with excellent spacious rooms, however room service was terrible as the room wasnt cleaned throughout the entire stay(3 days and 4 nights) . The basic ammenties were also not given after the first day( soaps ,shower gels etc) no wonder if they thought we had to ask everyday for all that basic needs.

Despite saying it’s a serviced apartment not once during our 1 week stay did they even attempt to service our room. Room had strange banging noise every 5mins from hot water system. Bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab. It was okay, spa was great, pool was always 30 degrees which was annoying. 4/10

Staff were not helpful. Sofa bed was broken on arrival they gave us two foam matresses to sleep on the hard floor and said they would replace the sofa in the morning, they never did. Six nights on the floor. Tv didnt work and had to be replaced. No iron was in our apartment or broom or vaccuum. Only restocked shampoo etc when asked but did not give more soap. Poor service.
