Only had two issues, one being there was building works going on throughout day on last few days with Jack hammering etc (appeared to be floor above us, very noisy). We were not informed about the planned works/noise prior to booking or whilst our stay. Mowing pool areas at 7am was not appreciated either i would think after 10am would be more appropriate. Other than that the apartment was amazing. A little tip would be to supply a bit more essential supplies as well. Staying for seven nights there were not enough toilet paper, garbage bags etc with us having to shop for a lot of items. We gave a 5 star review but cleaning attention is needed under the bed (needs to be moved out and floor vaccumed and wall cleaned). Parking is a breeze. The carpark is easy to navigate even in a large SUV. The location is 2nd to none. It is right on top of the Paradise Centre Mall and looks straight down into Cavill Ave and Orchid Ave and over Surfers Paradise Beach, right amongst all the action. The huge outdoor pool is properly heated and the adjacent hot tub was a real pleasure in July. The north facing sun filled balcony was beautiful. We stayed in the Ballah tower, apartment 18/02\. Executive 2 bedroom. The building was built in an era of generous room sizes. It was very clean and modern. The kitchen was well equipped. All the appliances were like new. Even the knives were super sharp. There were clean blankets in the wardrobe. We weren’t lacking anything. After staying here, I simply cannot stay anywhere else now on the Gold Coast. Great stay. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious, although maybe a little dated, but not an issue at all. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed to cook and the bathroom clean with good pressure and hot water. The view from the apartment was also fantastic! My only issue would be minimal coffee and tea in the room as it was not replenished throughout the stay, and also the need to pay for extra pool towels. Lovely views of the beach, Cavill Avenue (great for watching how 'alive' the area is) and part of the hinterland. Blockout curtains allowed me the luxury of a sleep in without the early morning sun waking me up. The outdoor heated pool and spa were fantastic, even with winter fast approaching. Every second day I'd go for a dip. Such easy access to the shops and public transport as well. Price wise, it was surprisingly cheaper than a lot of other places. The only gripe I had (and it's a petty one at that) is that the tiles and grout in the wet areas need a good scrub. The kitchen cupboards were swollen, the crockery still had food on it, the stove top and fridge had marks from previous people. The floor in the kitchen and bathroom were wet all the time from the unit belows air-conditioning. Even the carpet was wet around the kitchen. Accor advise for us to have our air-conditioning set at 24 degrees and keep all the doors tightly closed. This is not a solution. We prefer no aircon and the doors open for the sea beeze and fresh air. We went to reception to get towels to cover wet floors, then we rotated the towels on the airer so we could walk in the kitchen. The apartment looks over the night clubs and restaurants, so the noise is constant all day and night and into the morning. Only a top sheet on the bed. When we asked for a throw rug, we had to go down out of our building to collect the blanket. The glass doors still had prints and smudges all over them, and food on the balcony.
