This is a beautiful spot on the river next to the woods. The cabin is clean and cozy and a great place if you’re looking for peace and quiet. I loved sitting out on the porch watching the river. The surroundings are beautiful, the grounds are well kept and very pretty. The beds were fantastic. Very comfortable. There were four of us and the cabin didn’t seem crowded at all. It sits over 100 ft above the Ohio River with an astonishing view, yet nestled under shade trees, an outdoor fire pit, and stretches of hearing no sounds caused by humans (though their are other cabins there as well), just the cows in the distance, a heron flying overhead, owls and birds. The decor is a tad dated, but the cleanliness is what was important, and they have taken great care there! My stay was geared around nature, and peacefulness. Thats just what I got! Bonus: Only 20min drive to Garden of the Gods, for hiking! Be sure to take what you need as far as food etc., the closest town with a small store and gas station was about 15min away, but it’s worth the visit. No doubt about it. The room was clean enough except that there were many carpenter ants that we killed. The dishes had chips and cracks in them. Silverware needed to be cleaned before we could use them.
