« Lovely hotel. Recently restored back to originsl looks. It's very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking at public parking space just next door is safe and cheap. Nice location in the middle of Merthyr, though the city itself is less interesting, the location is good when exploring the Brecon Beacons. »

« This property was extraordinary!! On the side of a hilltop and very remote and quiet. We stayed in the guest house and had absolute quiet despite a raucous wedding on site. The on site food was delicious. Gorgeous property. A total find! »

« Firstly, I missed the firts night because of car trouble, I let the host know (although I think I was communicating with Travelnest) got there second day, the place was filthy, looked like someone had literally just left - dirty floors, leaves trodden into the carpet, dead bugs and rubbish in two cupboards, and the worst - mould in the fridge - on all the shelves. I let the Manor know, they sent someone down, when we returned only the fridge was cleaned. We decided we really were not comfortable...

« Location and view fantastic, however it's a shame that cleanliness wasn't as good. I didn't expect to have to clean plates etc before use, Also numerous cobwebs dotted around, dirty floors, unironed bedding. Not exactly a great first impression. Would I recommend? Definitely not! »

« The room smelt of old cigarette smoke, and was very cold. There were stains on the beds, and the spare pillows were discoloured and yellow. When I came to leave in the morning, I tried to get into the pub section for the breakfast which I had paid for, and to check out, but it was closed. This was at 8am in the morning. I would not stay here every again, nor recommend it to anyone »
