Very comfortable stay. Room was warm and clean with a wonderful view of Alisa Craig from the window. We ate dinner out but the continental breakfast in the room was plentiful (the milk was only just in date but was fine).

Old smelly hotel.
Well the carousel wasn’t large enough for my vehicle so I was forced to park in the street. The room smelled damp and the wallpaper was hanging off the walls. My bathroom was down the hall and also smelled really bad. I was supposed to Stay for 2 nights but I had to leave after 1 night due to the conditions.

I do not have a carousel but parking is free and safe on the street. The shower room was directly outside the room and why if you had other problems did you not say when i was in your room twice to sort out the tv. I do not agree with your comments.

Absolutely disgusting place to stay,no one there to greet you or check in with in had to look around for someone ,the smell Of stale cigarettes as soon as you walked in ,finally got given our key ,wasn’t told the wrong room trying to unlock the door and someone shouting what you doing as your trying to get in ,finally got the correct room ,what a state ,damp on ceiling in bathroom,rug was sticky to walk on ,the room stank of stale smoke ,the bed was broken kept rolling into the middle,the breakfast was shocking a stale banana some cereal and brioche bed ,when it was as time to leave couldn’t find anyone to hand the keys to ,tried knocking on the door I thought where the owner slept had a dog barking and trying to avoid dog poo ,no one answered even tried ringing them ,never seen anyone the whole stay ,no bar or restaurant was ever open ,the place needs closing down avoid at all cost

Bedding was clean but stained, hall stairs and landing carpet had what looked like dog hairs on it, family room smelt of smoke and the alpen in the “continental breakfast” was out of date. 😬 kettle needed cleaning too. Just felt like it needed a little tlc

Very dated place, it needs new beds it was like sleeping in an hammock! Very saggy in the middle, pictures of this hotel are very outdated as they don't do food no bar only at the weekend Continental breakfast has left on top of the fridge where their was a few fruit flies hanging around

I am sorry you found the bed uncomfortable but i have had good comments about that bed as well. We do do food for residents and the bar is only opened at the weekend because since covid it is not financially viable to open every night. The continental breakfast is freshen every day so sorry for the fruit flies

A lovely surprise.
What looks like an average place from the outside is lovely inside. The rooms were great and spacious and the owner was lovely and helpful. And it was good value.

Not the most friendliest place decor was dated carpets old and not clean extremely run down supposed to be a cooked breakfast however was a continental in room with fridge price was cheap but you paid for what you got if you need a cheap place to stay and you didn’t mind slumping it this is the place

Good value for money.
The room was spacious with amazing views of the sea. The bed was comfortable and the bedding spotless, as were the towels. The only thing I would say, is the room needs makeover to freshen it up and the silicone seal in the shower needs replacing.

Hotel is very basic. Continental breakfast consisted of a banana, 2 cheap yoghurts (1 dated that day) and wrapped pastry. owner/manager not friendly and girl on reception on checkout not wearing a mask. No Covid signs displayed and just a bottle of sanitiser. Treated more like a pest than a guest.

Rooms are in short supply in Girvan and especially over the Bank Holiday. No concessions were made to COVID 19 and the hotel; matched prior reports of its quality and standards ... moderate. The Owner was helpful and friendly, and the room was clean.

Unfortunately the hotel didn’t come up to what I would call 3 star. Even considering Covid. The room was stifling hot. The continental breakfast left in the room was mediocre and sour milk. The bed was hard and the pillows foam blocks leaving both of us with stiff backs. The parking was on the street not as advertised.

The fridge in the room was left open by mistake and the milk was replaced. There was parking at the at the rear but you chose to park in the front. Apart from the fridge which we sorted, you made no other complaints at the time

Great stay
Very friendly and helpful owner. I was there with three young boys and they had a great time. We couldnt arrive for first night due to car trouble and he didnt charge us despite v. late cancellation, which was very good of him. Cenrral location, clean and quiet, very reasonable price. Lovely town to visit and v good hotel.
