My teens enjoyed hanging by the pond or exploring the battlefield locations nearby. The house was a short drive to everything Gettysburg related. The host had notebooks available showing nearby restaurants and things to do. We had a great dinner at one of the restaurants we found in the book. The location was so close to the venue and we got to visit the battlefields of Gettysburg. Loved that it had a fire pit and the kitchen was perfect for making meals there. I worked nicely for a central location for everyone. The property had plenty of room and activities for all to choose from. We took daily walks to the neighboring battle fields. And when we were ready to head into Gettysburg it was a quick 6 minute trip. And many of the other attractions were also only 5 to 20 minutes away. Rustic, lovely, easy kitchen, and accommodating host were big assets. Right on the edge of a Battlefield, and an easy drive into town made this a very lovely time with family. It was the perfect location for our visit to Gettysburg. Anna, the host, was so easy to contact with any questions we had and responded very quickly. The pond, barn and surrounding yard and fields were the perfect outdoor setting for being outside with coffee in the mornings or evenings. So relaxing. And the house has lots of charm character. Plenty of space for a large group, and being able to have a fire was great. The property was clean and well-maintained. Owners were very accommodating and helpful with the few questions we had. We all fell in love with it! The bedrooms were spacious and the living space was great. We loved that the dining table had room for all 8 of us. The grounds were beautiful and the kids loved catching fish, roasting marshmallows and playing on the swing. The location was so convenient but away from the crowds.
