My stay at the Citadines was fine overall. I opted out of the breakfast option, and i was glad that I did because they dont have hot breakfast. They only have coffee and pastries. Ive stayed at more budget friendly hotels that offered a hot breakfast, so that was a little let down. Also the sound proofing was not great. I was able to hear my neighbor above me dragging furniture around and I was able to hear him pleasuring himself multiple times per day even with my head phones on. I did not hear the guests to the side of me at all, only the guest above me, which was odd. The area around the hotel is just a giant highway, so its not walkable, you have to order a grab to get anywhere. Cleanliness was ok, and the front desk staff were great. I previously stayed at one of their properties in Singapore and had a great experience, so choosing Citadines Tanjung Tokong Penang this time was absolutely the right decision. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with a stovetop, microwave, sink, and other practical amenities—making the stay very convenient. The staff were polite and always ready to assist. I encountered some issues with my room key and had a request for a late check-out, and Mr. Adzim handled everything with great care and professionalism, offering clear explanations and prompt assistance throughout. When I checked out, the staff were incredibly helpful in loading my luggage into the Grab car. The hotel is also ideally located, with a supermarket, shopping mall, restaurants, and a food court all nearby.
