A Highland Surprise.
We were overwhelmed by the lenghths to which the staff accommodated our needs to be in different parts of the overall resort at different times. Because most of the major hotels and attractions are interconnected with undercover links and escalators, walking from one to another was relatively easy on such a steep location.

여러모로 불편했던 호텔
우선 룸에서는 와이파이가 없어서 와이파이를 사용하려면 호텔 로비로 내려가야하는 점이 가장 불편합니다. 우리가 묵었던 룸의 창문이 꼭 닫히질 않아 차고 축축한 공기가 계속 유입되어 지내기가 불편했습니다. 이불에서 퀴퀴한 냄새가 나서 불쾌했습니다. 체크인 과정이 너무 복잡합니다. 완전한 모바일 시스템도 아니고 프런트 직원의 도움을 받아야하는 것도 아니라서 프런트에서 회원등록하고 다시 키오스크로 가서 다시 체크인해야하고, 너무 복잡하고 번잡했습니다. 또한 Food Factory의 아침식사 뷔페는 절대적으로 추천하지 않습니다. 먹을 것도 없고 어수선하고 비위생적이고.

Bad check-in experience
The hotel receptionist couldn’t find our details through the booking ID and I booked 3 rooms with King Size beds but was given 2 rooms with separate Super Single beds and 1 room with King Size beds. Hotels.com has to work more closely with the hotel with customers request. Staff was patient and tried different ways to find our booking by using our names. And since I booked 3 rooms, he managed to find our rooms/booking under 3 different names. Other than that, everything else about the hotel was great. Location was great too as it’s near shopping district. A convenience store and starbucks at hotel lobby was great too.

Very basic room, tv limited Channels (no suitable kids channel), no wifi provided. Situated next to stars avenue so music was blasting non stop in the afternoon and in the evening till 11pm. I can’t believe we paid $600plus RM for this. Carpark was $21rm and not included as well. Got our room at 2pm and later they call us to inform early check in applied and I need to pay. It was $5rm and the staff paid it in the end since it was his mistake but I felt it was overall poor hotel management and actually management should have waived instead of making staff pay. The only plus point is that it is linked to carpark and shopping mall. Will avoid staying again

When we got out of Awana cable car station, there was no signage at all to give directions to the Hotel, nor information counter to provide assistance. The visitors had to manage by themselves alone.Very frustrated...

A disappointing stay as the property is old and time for the room to do a makeover. Need to walk quite a distance to the new cable car station from the hotel. Been donkey years since my last visit and Genting Highland now with many building taking over the once nice and beautiful place and green scenery there.

Good and rejuvating stay
One of the better hotels compared to first world hotel. Comes with a rain shower and doesnt have a bath tub but it's okay for me. Quiet environment and the hotel is kind enough to let us check in earlier for a small fee. Booking through hotels.com make it even better as there is assurance that we got the cheapest deal =)

Checking in is smooth. Room are clean & well equipped. Only flaw is that we need to pay RM15 for checking in at around 12.30pm ( official check in is 3pm). Most hotel in Malaysia don’t charge fair early check in if room available.

Looks like was renovated, service just a call away, official check-in Was 3pm, Just pay RM5 and you can have the room right away. Breakfast at Cafe Terrace at Grand Genting with 40% discount is better value then eating at Malaysia street

Location was excellent! Very convenient to all places - restaurants, shopping malls, cable car etc. Good value for money. Only downside is the lack of WIFI which is only available in the hotel lobby.

Fast check in and check out. The room was clean. Do note that this is a very basic hotel with no aircon still cooling with fan), no kettle (2 complimentary bottles of water), no shampoo (with available shower gel, toothbrush and toothpaste). It didn't bother us as we were only there for 3d2n and we spent majority of the time out of the room.
