It makes an ideal base for a city break in this ancient port, at any time of year. The apartment is stylishly decorated and has a double-height living area. There is a sofa, a dining table for 4 and a flat-screen TV, with a large, high window. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and fridge/freezer. A neat spiral staircase leads up to the mezzanine bedroom. Sleeping The bedroom, which overlooks the living area, has a double bed. Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable double bed. There is a wardrobe in the living area. Bathroom The attractive bathroom has a shower, basin, bidet and WC. Guests can experience authentic city life and explore its ancient past. Nearly everything is within walking distance. Two of the city’s must-see sites are the Romanesque cathedral of San Lorenzo (3-minute walk) and the monumental Piazza De Ferrari (5-minute walk). To fully appreciate the city and its food, the best market is the Mercato Orientale in Via XX Settembre (8 minutes walk). Otherwise, there are street markets every day across most of the city. Genoa is well-known for its excellent cuisine, so there are many great restaurants across the city. The lively port area is a 5-minute walk from the apartment. The modern Aquarium of Genoa is worth a visit. The Porto Antico (5 minutes walk) is a huge cultural space with many events, exhibitions and great places to eat out. Luckily we had the WhatsApp app as that’s how we received info for key /lockbox location. Air conditioner not working - did send someone to look (1hour late) but didn’t fix. poor communication from local happy rentals rep. Apartment was nice. Clean, new, nice shower, a few things were missing like a garbage can, bigger coffee mugs, no kitchen towel, paper towels. No directions for washer or wifi. Overall nice place.
