The check in process was easy (once we realized the actual door to enter is on the opposite side of where you park). The homeowner was incredibly responsive and the house was clean and comfortable. When they say you can’t tell a book by its cover they could be talking about this cottage located in Geneva-on-the-Lake. The unit was totally remodeled with full size appliances and modern amenities. This was our first time staying in a VRBO and it was a great learning experience. I contacted the host a couple of times and received immediate responses. When we walked in, it smelled like someone had been smoking in the place. We were awakened early in the morning by a high pitched alarm. It turns out it was the electronic door entry. I called the property management number. It did take a little bit for someone to respond and come out and fix it. But the person who came, was very nice and apologetic. She explained that the area had been hit hard by a storm earlier in the week and was not sure if they would even have power (we did). This apparently had messed up a lot of these electron ic door accesses. She took care of things right away. There were also some dirty dishes in the dishwasher (I don't know if this was due to the power outage). All in all, the place was very nice. We would stay there again.
