Built in 1910, this two-story, 5,000-square-foot home offers plenty of space for a large family gathering and is just a few steps from the beach and the golf course. Inside, you'll find a bright and open, well-equipped, eat-in kitchen with a breakfast counter and coffee bar to make it easy to prepare all your favorite recipes. For meal times, head into the adjacent dining room with gorgeous wood features from floor-to-ceiling, a convenient kitchen pass-through window, and an elegant table for eight. An additional table for six can be found in the library if you need a little extra space. This home also includes two living areas with plenty of comfortable furniture, cable TVs, and, in the main living space, a warming gas fireplace to help set the mood on chilly nights. And for sleeping arrangements, this home offers seven cozy bedrooms including four with queen-size beds and a kid-friendly room with three twin beds and a separate twin bunk. What's nearby: Grab your tennis rackets and walk a couple blocks to the public tennis and basketball courts for some exercise. If that isn't quite your thing, the golf course is just steps from your door. Aug 17, 2024 #### Great Family House Its rare to find a 7 bedroom house. It worked great for our group of 12 adults. Tons of space, big kitchen, close enough to beach (but not ocean front). I highly recommend this house for big groups. A few things to consider are that the twin beds were not comfortable, but would probably be fine for kids. Also know it's about a 6 minute walk over the dunes to the beach. No problem for all but my 84 year old mom. If you're real picky you might not like that carpets are stained, but we didnt care because most everything else about the house was great for our mixed age family group! ##### Deborah M. The kids can go back and forth to the beach themselves. There’s plenty of dishes and kitchen ware. Plenty of seats in dining room and living room. The house does need some updating. Very dirty and old So disappointed in the cleanliness of the home. Found dog or cat hair all over the VERY stained carpet and dated old furniture. Kitchen is very old, pots and pans need replacement. It was nice to have 2 refrigerators. It was a big home with 7 bedrooms. But one bed did not have a top sheet. Bedding could be replaced. It needs an update. The location is great with right next to the pathway to the beach. Update the home! Clean the carpet or just replace the old flooring. Get some basic sheet pans for the kitchen, replace the cabinetry. Many of the drawers wouldn't close. With the size of the home, it would be great if there were some very needed updates. May 27, 2025 #### Charming but worn This is a charming old beach house which we have been to several times. Very comfortable with lots of space for our family of 11\. But it's worn and stained in places and really could use some updating - old faucets, old stiff cabinets. There's plenty of dishes and glassware for a crowd. Only 3 bathrooms for 7 bedrooms, but we made it work. Bring some extension cords as there aren't many electric outlets in the bedrooms (pretty normal for a vintage beach house). Jun 23, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Lovely, large historic home, great for large gatherings 7 adult women rented this property for a celebration of life weekend and it was a great choice. The kitchen is very well equipped and the 7 bedrooms are large with jack and jill baths in most of them. We had ample supplies, paper towels, hand soap, clean towels etc. The home is a beautiful walk to the beach and near the park. There are many places to gather each day, the sun porch, family room, formal dining and living room, so lots of place to spread out. I would suggest the carpets need replacing or have a thorough cleaning and I would be careful if you rented in high heat, as I am not sure it is air conditioned. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the beach via a nearby path, and close enough to Seaside for convenience while still feeling peaceful and removed from the crowds. The home is spacious, with plenty of beds and common areas for gathering, as well as quiet nooks for alone time. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, which made meal prep a breeze.A few things to note: some of the twin beds were not that comfortable, and with only one plug in each bedroom, charging devices was a bit of a challenge. Portable fans in each room would also be a great addition, especially during warmer weather but also note that the heat seemed to not reach the bedrooms upstairs much. We also found it a little confusing that there was a no-shoes policy indoors, yet the carpets were quite stained and could use a deep clean. Overall, this home has a lot of character and space, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches and great location. With a few updates, it would be even more comfortable.
